PIT BITS MAY JUNE 22/26 *With first outlaw race already in the books we look forward to the next one and the Go Partners Automotive race on July 25th. With some new faces at the first event that Rob Pond took home the trophy and the money, we have been informed that one of those that was there is coming back and bringing both of his cars. Troy Molson from Brockville, Ontario will have is Willys and his Chevy II back for the July event which should see many more  of these guys out by then. There is some very very trick cars around town and if they all show up on the same weekend LOOK OUT, it will be quite a show. *More improvements was the name of the game last Monday as we got ready for this past weekends big shows. Yes upgrades continue at the track and there are more to come as move forward in the 2026 season. The main staging lane was repaved and "Many" bad spots through out the pit area and the return roads was fixed up. As we move forward i think it is clear to everyone that we are still in it for the long haul, all we ask is for your support especially as we go through a rough time with the economy. *Some sad news out of the East Coast Drag Racing Scene that has a local touch to it. Glen McLean who bought Derek Malcolm's ADM Motorsports American Chrome workx dragster two years ago, had the misfortune of crashing the beautiful car last weekend. The Throttle stuck on the car and Glen went off the end of the track and into the trees which split the car into three pieces. We are pleased to say that Glen will be ok, he is beat up pretty bad with some broken bones and bruised lungs but will recover. We have sold many cars to the east coast over the years and have a close to tie to the drag racing community down there, Get Well Soon Glen. *Well another bad weekend behind us and we now try and put this big let down behind us, generate some excitement and move forward. Yes losing a big weekend like the one we just lost is not only tough financially, but emotionally as well, as we too get excited about what goes on at the track. But we learned a long time ago, as much as you think your in charge it really is the weather man who calls all the shots. So we pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and start working towards June 27 and time shots and a cruise night, and then another BIG weekend with the super tour stopping at Luskville Dragway July 4-5. For those that will ask , YES we are trying to rebook the jet car, its hard as these bookings are done in the winter time, and usally these guys are booked well in advance, but we will try.
MORCEAUX DE FOSSE JUNE 22/26 *La première course hors-la-loi étant déjà terminée, nous attendons avec impatience la prochaine, la course Go Partners Automotive du 25 juillet. Lors de la première épreuve, remportée par Rob Pond, qui a décroché le trophée et le prix, de nouveaux visages étaient présents. Nous avons appris que l'un d'eux, Troy Molson, de Brockville (Ontario), sera de retour avec sa Willys et sa Chevy II pour l'événement de juillet, qui devrait attirer un grand nombre de concurrents d'ici là. Il y a des voitures vraiment exceptionnelles en ville, et si elles se présentent toutes le même week-end, attention ! Le spectacle promet d'être impressionnant. *Lundi dernier, nous nous sommes concentrés sur les améliorations afin de préparer les grandes compétitions du week-end. Les améliorations se poursuivent sur la piste et d'autres sont à venir pour la saison 2026. La voie de départ principale a été refaite et de nombreux points noirs dans la zone des stands et les voies de retour ont été réparés. À l'avenir, je pense qu'il est clair pour tous que nous sommes toujours là pour le long terme ; tout ce que nous demandons, c'est votre soutien, surtout en cette période économique difficile. *Triste nouvelle du monde du dragster de la côte Est, avec une touche locale. Glen McLean, qui avait acheté le dragster WorkX American Chrome de Derek Malcolm (ADM Motorsports) il y a deux ans, a eu la malchance de crasher sa magnifique voiture le week-end dernier. L'accélérateur s'est bloqué et Glen a quitté la piste pour percuter les arbres, brisant la voiture en trois morceaux. Heureusement, Glen va bien. Il est assez blessé, avec des fractures et une contusion pulmonaire, mais il se rétablira. Nous avons vendu de nombreuses voitures sur la côte Est au fil des ans et entretenons des liens étroits avec la communauté du dragster là-bas. Bon rétablissement, Glen ! *Bon, un autre week-end difficile est derrière nous et nous essayons maintenant d'oublier cette grosse déception, de retrouver de l'enthousiasme et d'aller de l'avant. Oui, perdre un week-end aussi important est difficile non seulement financièrement, mais aussi émotionnellement, car nous aussi, on est toujours impatients de voir ce qui se passe sur la piste. Mais on a appris depuis longtemps que, même si on pense avoir le contrôle, c'est en réalité la météo qui décide. Alors on se ressaisit, on se secoue et on se met à travailler pour le 27 juin : séances de tirs chronométrés, soirée de balade, puis un autre GRAND week-end avec le Super Tour qui fera étape à Luskville Dragway les 4 et 5 juillet.
LEWIS GAGNE TRUCKING KEEPS ON  TRUCKING WITH LUSKVILLE DRAGWAY: JUNE 19/26 The Owner of Lewis Gagne Trucking has been one of the best things to happen to the sport of drag racing and in particular too Luskville Dragway. Since Lewis Gagne became a regular at the track and on the tours the fun level has risen GREATLY. A racer who made an impact from his first appearance until this day, he also makes a difference when it comes to helping, and helping Luskville Dragway he does. Nick named “Screwy Lewy” for a reason, you would have to look pretty far to find anyone that has more fun than Lewis does, and he has everyone else having a good time as well. Lewis Gagne Trucking is located in North Bay Ontario but Lewis will be first to say Luskville Dragway is his home track. 2019 saw this team also start the career of a second generation Gagne drag racer, as young son Logan began his Jr. Drag Racing career, then in 2023 Logan's younger bros started their drag racing careers also as all three of the boys compete in the Speedy Auto Service Jr. Dragster Championship. Once again in 2026 we are proud to announce we will once again be having the Lewis Gagne Racers Appreciation weekend, which features bonus purses, a free racers breakfast on Sunday Morning, and the induction ceremonies for the Wall of Fame. Lewis Gagne Racers appreciation weekend will go into its 8th year in 2026 and will once again take place the third weekend in Sept. which is the 18 & 19. This years inductee will be "Tricky Dicky" Stanton. Although this day is a celebration there has with out question been too many going on the Wall of Honor at the track.
LEWIS GAGNE TRUCKING CONTINUE DE SÉCURISER LE ROUTIER AVEC LE LUSKVILLE DRAGWAY : 19/26 JUIN Le propriétaire de Lewis Gagne Trucking est une véritable aubaine pour le monde du drag racing, et plus particulièrement pour le Luskville Dragway. Depuis que Lewis Gagne fréquente assidûment la piste et participe aux tournées, l'ambiance est devenue exceptionnelle. Pilote emblématique dès ses débuts, il s'investit également beaucoup pour le Luskville Dragway. Surnommé « Screwy Lewy » à juste titre, il est difficile de trouver quelqu'un qui s'amuse autant que lui, et il sait mettre tout le monde à l'aise. Lewis Gagne Trucking est situé à North Bay, en Ontario, mais Lewis est le premier à considérer le Luskville Dragway comme son circuit fétiche. En 2019, l'équipe a également vu naître un pilote de dragster de la deuxième génération Gagne, le jeune Logan, qui a débuté en Junior Drag Racing. Le week-end d'hommage aux pilotes Lewis Gagne fêtera sa 8e édition en 2026 et se déroulera comme chaque année le troisième week-end de septembre, soit les 18 et 19. Cette année, l'intronisé sera « Tricky Dicky » Stanton. Bien que cette journée soit une célébration, il est indéniable que de nombreuses personnalités ont déjà été honorées au Panthéon des pilotes sur la piste.
PIT BITS MAY JUNE 15/26 *The Jet Car has been a stable of booked in shows for many drag strips across North America for years, but when covid hit that all stopped and we learned to operate with out the famous attraction. We where like many other tracks we booked jet cars every season from the time we took over in 1980 until covid hit in 2019. And we have had most everyone you can name visit Luskville Dragway over the years including this years return attraction Ernie Bouge and the "Beast from the East. Diamond Jim, The Eastern Raider, The Northern Force, Star Jet, Jimmy Jet, Chicago Rush, Aggi Hedrick's you name the car and it has probably been to Luskville Dragway over the last 45 years. The fans love them, and if you have not ever seen one then BE AT LUSKVILLE DRAGWAY June 19 or 20th you will be "Blown Away". *We are extremely pleased to announce that with the help of Shawn Belanger of Belanger Enterprises we will have a incredible payout for the Jr. Dragsters on the Sunday of the Bracket. To start with it will be $1000. to win but the big news is that first and second round losers will also be in the payouts as Shawn has asked that we pay each and every kid that is in attendance. This will be one of the best payouts in recent memory and should make each and every kid very very happy. We will also of course have the $50. Brian Ackers Quick Draw Award presented by Belanger as well. We will have more great news for the Jrs. surrounding the Friday and Saturday payouts as well thanks to another incredible sponsor. Yes our Jrs. are spoiled and we love and cant not say THANK YOU loud enough for the tremendous support we get for the Jr. Dragster Program. *Shawn's support of the Jr. Program at Luskville Dragway was very evident this past weekend as two more lucky kids received a crisp $50. bill and the Ackers Brothers Quick Draw Award. Katie Adams was race one winner of the Belanger Enterprise Sponsored award and Maverick Anger was the winner of race number two. Too win the award the kids have to have the best reaction time in the first round of eliminations. And that kids do their jobs on this as they have some very very good reaction times and that's what it takes to win. *And while we are talking about the Jr. Dragsters I'm going to do a little bragging right here. Most know that we have two grandkids that run Jrs. Julia Malcolm and Cole Malcolm Krottner with the later being a pretty good hockey player who this past weekend participated in the OHL Priority Draft for under 16 year olds. This is a big stepping stone to the professional hockey career. The draft was Saturday morning at 9 am in Kingston, Ontario where Cole was very fortunate and was drafted by the Sudbury Wolves of the OHL. This was and is a huge accomplishment but once promo photos where taking Cole was back in car and be lining it to Luskville Dragway so he could make the second race of the two race day. Well he made it just in time to get one time shot and then went a couple of rounds before getting beat, but to see the desire to leave one sport he loves to get to another sport he loves was very cool. Congrats to Cole who was quick to point out a big thank you to everyone at the track who have supported him over the years and do to this day.
MORCEAUX DE FOSSE JUNE 15/26 *La Jet Car était un incontournable des spectacles de dragsters sur de nombreuses pistes d'Amérique du Nord depuis des années, mais la pandémie de COVID-19 a tout interrompu et nous avons dû apprendre à nous en passer. Comme beaucoup d'autres circuits, nous programmions des Jet Cars chaque saison depuis notre reprise en 1980 jusqu'à l'arrivée de la COVID-19 en 2019. Presque tous les pilotes de renom ont foulé le sol du Luskville Dragway au fil des ans, y compris cette année le retour d'Ernie Bouge et de la « Bête de l'Est ». Eastern Raider, Northern Force, Star Jet, Jimmy Jet, Chicago Rush, Aggi Hedrick… la liste est longue ! Ces voitures ont probablement foulé le sol du Luskville Dragway au cours des 45 dernières années. Les fans les adorent, et si vous n'en avez jamais vu, rendez-vous au Luskville Dragway les 19 et 20 juin : vous serez époustouflé ! *Nous sommes ravis d'annoncer qu'avec l'aide de Shawn Belanger de Belanger Enterprises, nous offrirons une dotation exceptionnelle aux jeunes pilotes de dragsters le dimanche de la compétition. Le vainqueur remportera 1 000 $, mais la grande nouvelle est que les perdants des premier et deuxième tours recevront également une part des gains, car Shawn a demandé que chaque enfant présent soit récompensé. Nos jeunes pilotes sont vraiment gâtés et nous tenons à vous remercier chaleureusement pour votre soutien indéfectible au programme des jeunes pilotes de dragsters. *Le soutien de Shawn au programme junior de Luskville Dragway était flagrant le week-end dernier : deux jeunes pilotes chanceux ont reçu un billet de 50 $ et le prix Ackers Brothers Quick Draw. Katie Adams a remporté la première course, sponsorisée par Belanger Enterprise, et Maverick Anger la deuxième. Pour remporter ce prix, les jeunes pilotes doivent avoir le meilleur temps de réaction lors du premier tour des éliminatoires. Et ils excellent dans ce domaine, avec des temps de réaction exceptionnels : c'est ce qu'il faut pour gagner.
NAPA KNOWS HOW, AND THIS WEEKEND SHOWED THAT : JUNE 15/26 Once again the weekend is here, and once again this year we had to deal with the weather man, yes it started off great with a beautiful sunset Friday evening and a great looking Saturday. But with the forecast for 30 mm of rain on Sunday a decision was made to run both weekend races on Saturday. This meant for everyone once again to be on top of their game in order to get the points races done and the cruise night in. As it turned out this was a very very good decision as just like the weather man said rain started at 8 p.m. Saturday Night, putting an end to the cruise night, but not before we wrapped up both races as planned. This is not something we have not done before and some luck has to be part of it, and with no oil downs, no down time what's so ever the last pair of points cars went down the track 30 minutes before the weather hit. So here is the recap of the winners and we start off with Rob Pond taking the win over Troy Molson in the Outlaw heads up street car class. In the finals Rob enjoyed a red light start from Troy who worked all day and ended up with the fastest pass of the weekend for this class and was very happy with that even though he red-lit  in the finals. The Jr. Dragster class was won by Bryson Loach in the first race, marking his 3rd win of a very young season with the new car. Nostalgia would see "Boom Boom" Marcel Dubois take his first win in this ever growing class which is a big hit with everyone. Semi Pro would see Steve Ballantyne make his way back to the winners circle taking the win in race number one, Steve would double that up as he took the second race win light as well. Super Pro in the first race went to Kyle "Killer" Jessup who was the first to admit it was nice to get back to the Luskville Dragway winners circle. Second race super pro winner would be another young gun, and someone who is off to a great start this season, Brandon Barker driving Mike Ogilvie's Blown Dragster benefit from read light start by Brody Bellefeuille in the finals. Jr. Dragsters would see Maverick Anger take the win over his cousin Haley in the finals. The Second of two Nostalgia races would see Bruce Evans take his wheel standing 1969 SS Chevelle to the winners circle for the first time this young season. All in all it was a great day of racing, with cars going down the track most of the day, with very little down time, and as we said "WE GOT ER DONE"
NAPA SAIT COMMENT FAIRE, ET CE WEEK-END L'A PROUVÉ : 15/26 JUIN Le week-end est enfin là, et cette année encore, nous avons dû composer avec la météo. Certes, le week-end avait pourtant bien commencé avec un magnifique coucher de soleil vendredi soir et un samedi prometteur. Mais avec 30 mm de pluie annoncés pour dimanche, il a été décidé de programmer les deux courses du week-end le samedi. Cela signifiait que chacun devait être au top de sa forme pour boucler les courses comptant pour le championnat et profiter de la soirée de démonstration. Et ce fut une excellente décision, car comme prévu, la pluie a commencé à 20h samedi soir, mettant fin à la soirée de démonstration, mais pas avant que nous ayons pu terminer les deux courses comme prévu. Ce n'est pas la première fois que nous procédons ainsi, et une part de chance y est sans doute pour quelque chose. Sans aucune fuite d'huile ni interruption de course, les deux dernières voitures en lice pour le championnat ont pris la piste 30 minutes avant l'arrivée des intempéries. Voici le récapitulatif des vainqueurs. Rob Pond l'emporte face à Troy Molson dans la catégorie Outlaw Heads Up Street Car. En finale, Rob a profité d'un départ manqué de Troy, qui a pourtant travaillé dur toute la journée et réalisé le meilleur temps du week-end dans cette catégorie. Il était ravi de cette performance, malgré son faux départ en finale. Bryson Loach remporte la catégorie Jr. Dragster dès la première course, signant ainsi sa troisième victoire de la saison avec sa nouvelle voiture. Dans la catégorie Nostalgia, « Boom Boom » Marcel Dubois décroche sa première victoire, un succès très apprécié du public. Steve Ballantyne retrouve le chemin de la victoire en Semi Pro en remportant la première course, puis la seconde. Enfin, Kyle « Killer » Jessup remporte la première course en Super Pro et se dit ravi de retrouver le podium à Luskville Dragway. La deuxième course Super Pro a vu un autre jeune talent, Brandon Barker, remporter la victoire. Auteur d'un excellent début de saison, il a profité d'un départ au feu rouge donné par Brody Bellefeuille en finale, au volant du Blown Dragster de Mike Ogilvie. Chez les Jr. Dragsters, Maverick Anger s'est imposé face à son cousin Haley en finale. La deuxième des deux courses Nostalgia a vu Bruce Evans mener sa Chevelle SS 1969 à la victoire pour la première fois cette saison. En résumé, ce fut une excellente journée de courses, avec des voitures en piste presque sans interruption. Comme on l'a dit : « Mission accomplie ! »
PIT BITS MAY JUNE 8/26 *As we pointed out many times, we really think the Nostalgia Class will be one to watch this season, and the last Nostalgia Race was a perfect example of that. Two more brand new rides where out as well as a couple that were not the first weekend. "Pontiac Moe Laurin was out for the first time with his brand new Anglia ride, as was Vince Ruitter with his early model Dodge which had everyone talking. These two cars along with Eric Asselstine's Anglia which was also out for the first time this season is just a small example of what is to come in this exciting class. And with that info in your hands we are also excited about the addition of one more Nostalgia weekend in Sept. Lewis Gagnes weekend will also have the Nostalgia Cars present as they where last year. We originally thought this was a race weekend for these cars at another track but that was changed so we are adding the boys and girls to the Sept 19-20. this is also the weekend for the Racers Appreciation Breakfast and we really appreciate the Nostalgia Cars being part of Luskville Dragway. Because this is a add on event it will not be a points race unless other wise stated later on. *Well the weather man did not do us much justice, but we managed to make it work, and I think everyone who bared the terrible weather to come out was pleased with what happened. When i rolled through the gates at 7am I DID NOT BELIEVE we would get anything done, but we did and we did on time and in fine fashion, thanks to everyone involved. yes the 4th Annual Wayne Young Memorial Car Show and Drag was a success, and if the weather had been right , Oh what a success it could have benn. But all being said and done IT WAS GREAT TO GET IT DONE.
MORCEAUX DE FOSSE JUNE 8/26 *Comme nous l'avons souligné à plusieurs reprises, nous sommes convaincus que la catégorie Nostalgie sera à suivre de près cette saison, et la dernière course Nostalgie en a été la preuve. Deux nouveaux véhicules étaient en piste, ainsi que quelques autres qui n'étaient pas présents lors du premier week-end. « Pontiac Moe Laurin faisait sa première apparition avec sa toute nouvelle Anglia, tout comme Vince Ruitter avec sa Dodge ancienne qui a fait sensation. Ces deux voitures, ainsi que l'Anglia d'Eric Asselstine, également présente pour la première fois cette saison, ne sont qu'un aperçu de ce que nous réserve cette catégorie passionnante. Forts de ces informations, nous sommes également ravis d'annoncer l'ajout d'un week-end Nostalgie supplémentaire en septembre. Le week-end de Lewis Gagnes accueillera également les voitures Nostalgie, comme l'an dernier. Initialement, nous pensions organiser une course pour ces voitures sur un autre circuit, mais cela a changé : les 19 et 20 septembre, les voitures Nostalgie seront donc de la partie. Ce week-end est également celui du petit-déjeuner de remerciement des pilotes, et nous sommes très heureux que les voitures Nostalgie participent à Luskville Dragway. S'agissant d'un événement supplémentaire, il ne s'agira pas d'une course comptant pour le championnat, sauf indication contraire ultérieure. »
NAPA WEEKEND KICKS OFF 3 BIG WEEKENDS IN A VERY SHORT TIME FRAME: JUNE 8/26 With this weekends Napa Auto Parts Customer Appreciation race, we kick off three big weekends over 4 weeks, and its going to be busy to say the least. This Saturday and Sunday the track will feature all classes including Super Pro, Semi Pro, Jrs. Nostalgia AND Outlaw Street Cars on Saturday. This is an event where Napa invites customers from all over eastern Ontario and western Quebec, and if past weekends are any example it will be busy. And the following weekend we have the 2nd Annual John Scottie NHRA National Open which features all classes along with the tracks regular programs. It is chance to see Stock, Super Stock, Top Dragster and many others than normally compete at Divisional or National events. But the big news that weekend is the return of the Jets, as the worlds fastest Jet Dragster "The Beast from the East" returns to set the world and the track record. This is a weekend that starts off with testing on Thursday and Eliminations on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The Jet car is scheduled to run on Friday Night as well as Saturday Night during the very popular cruise night street car show.
NAPA : LE WEEK-END LANCE 3 GRANDS WEEK-ENDS EN UN TRÈS COURT TEMPS : 8-26 JUIN Avec la course de remerciement des clients de Napa Auto Parts ce week-end, nous lançons trois grands week-ends sur quatre semaines, et ça promet d'être intense ! Ce samedi et ce dimanche, la piste accueillera toutes les catégories, y compris Super Pro, Semi Pro, Juniors, Nostalgia ET Outlaw Street Cars le samedi. Napa invite des clients de tout l'est de l'Ontario et de l'ouest du Québec pour cet événement, et si l'on se fie aux week-ends précédents, l'affluence sera au rendez-vous. Le week-end suivant, nous aurons la 2e édition du John Scottie NHRA National Open, qui mettra en vedette toutes les catégories en plus des programmes habituels de la piste. Ce sera l'occasion de voir des Stock, des Super Stock, des Top Dragster et bien d'autres qui ne participent généralement qu'aux compétitions divisionnaires ou nationales. Mais la grande nouvelle de ce week-end, c'est le retour des Jets, car le dragster à réaction le plus rapide du monde, « La Bête de l'Est », revient pour tenter de battre le record du monde et celui de la piste. Ce week-end débute par des essais le jeudi et se poursuit avec les éliminatoires le vendredi, le samedi et le dimanche. La voiture à réaction est programmée pour rouler le vendredi soir ainsi que le samedi soir lors du très populaire rassemblement de voitures anciennes.
PIT BITS MAY JUNE 1/26 *This Sunday is  a very special Sunday for Luskville Dragway and anyone who knew Wayne Young, the owner of Young's Speed Shop. Wayne was the man when it came to motorsports in our area, and that included Luskville Dragway which he supported with his dollars from the time we took over in 1980 until he closed his store on Gladstone Ave. I met Wayne in 1972 when I first came to Ottawa, and like know back then all I could think about was drag racing, so i headed to Young's Speed Shop to find out what was happening. Wayne treated me a like a long time customer and even though i didn't buy anything that day he treated me like gold, and he became my friend immediately. I would return to Young's many times over the next 8 years prior to taking over Luskville Dragway, to buy products for my drag racing efforts and to shoot the breeze with the man who had the pulse of motorsports on his sleeve. In 1980 when we took over the track, Wayne was the first one to throw his financial support behind our effort, and that would last until he closed the store. When we took over Capital City Speedway in 2005, once again Wayne not only threw his financial support behind us, but worked the gate every race night as well, doing everything he could to help us make it work. Wayne passed away almost 5 years ago now, and we are SO proud to keep his memory going, his advertising sign still goes up every year at the Dragway, and now we have the 4th Annual Wayne Young Memorial Day to keep his memory alive as well. *You may or may not noticed the new name for the restaurant but "Dragway Diner" is the new nick name for what has been a staple for 40 years at Luskville Dragway. along with the new name comes some new items on the menu, including Breakfast each and every RACE weekend. Keep in mind that this source of income for the track is also part of keeping the track going so support those that support you, and THANK YOU to those that do.
MORCEAUX DE FOSSE JUNE 1/26 *Ce dimanche est un jour très spécial pour Luskville Dragway et pour tous ceux qui ont connu Wayne Young, le propriétaire de Young's Speed ​​Shop. Wayne était une figure incontournable du sport automobile dans notre région, et notamment pour Luskville Dragway, qu'il a soutenu financièrement depuis notre reprise en 1980 jusqu'à la fermeture de son magasin sur l'avenue Gladstone. J'ai rencontré Wayne en 1972, à mon arrivée à Ottawa. Comme aujourd'hui, je ne pensais qu'aux courses d'accélération, alors je me suis précipité chez Young's Speed ​​Shop pour voir ce qui se passait. Wayne m'a accueilli comme un client de longue date et, même si je n'ai rien acheté ce jour-là, il a été extrêmement gentil avec moi. Nous sommes devenus amis instantanément. Pendant les huit années qui ont suivi, avant que je ne reprenne Luskville Dragway, je suis retourné chez Young's à de nombreuses reprises pour acheter du matériel pour mes courses d'accélération et pour discuter avec celui qui connaissait le monde du sport automobile sur le bout des doigts. En 1980, lorsque nous avons repris le circuit, Wayne a été le premier à nous apporter son soutien financier, et ce jusqu'à la fermeture de son magasin. Lorsque nous avons repris le Capital City Speedway en 2005, Wayne nous a de nouveau apporté son soutien financier, mais il était également présent à l'entrée chaque soir de course, faisant tout son possible pour nous aider à réussir. Wayne nous a quittés il y a près de cinq ans, et nous sommes très fiers de perpétuer sa mémoire. Son panneau publicitaire est toujours installé chaque année sur le circuit, et nous organisons désormais la 4e édition de la Journée commémorative Wayne Young pour honorer sa mémoire *Vous avez peut-être remarqué le nouveau nom du restaurant : « Dragway Diner », une institution depuis 40 ans au Luskville Dragway. Ce changement de nom s’accompagne de nouveautés au menu, notamment le petit-déjeuner servi chaque week-end de course. N’oubliez pas que cette source de revenus est essentielle au fonctionnement du circuit ; alors, soutenez ceux qui vous soutiennent, et MERCI à tous ceux qui le font !
SPEEDY AUTO SERVICE SPECTACULAR "JUST THAT" SPECTACULAR: JUNE 1/26 Last year we did not get any racing going until this very weekend, so even though the spring had not been great up until this time, we where way ahead of last years schedule for sure. So as we headed into the sixth weekend in row that we have been open we where hoping for some "spectacular" weather to with the weekend. Friday Night it was pretty spectacular as a BIG wind storm came through and send many things flying, but Saturday dawned clear, calm and sunny as the staff started to put things back in place and get the track ready for a 1p.m. Start. Once again it was so nice to see so many cars from the North, with the Harling's, Allard, Roch Beaudion, Cody Levasseur and Brandon Loach all in attendance from WAY up the valley. Saturday dawned with clear skies and the winds had died down so everyone was anxious get going, and get going we did right on time we did. With things winding down to final runs the first to finish the day was the BDL Equipment Nostalgia Class where Second Generation Driver Miles Smith took the win and a visit to the winners circle. Next up was Semi Pro where Stephen Ballantyne got back on the winning track with a big win. Jrs were well represented with Bryson Loach taking his brand new car to the winners circle for the first time at Luskville Dragway. The big one and one that had everyone on the edge of their seat was the Super Pro final where Brandon Barker and Randy Bellefeuille came to the starting line for all the money. Randy had a terrible go the opening weekend with everything that could go wrong going wrong, but that was all made up for it when he hit the tree against Brandon Barker and the win light came on in his lane.Randy is one of the best liked racers at the track, and the win was very popular with everyone. Sunday did not start out with the nice skies like Saturday did, but the weather man gave us a shot to get the racing in before any showers would roll through. The boys where up early getting things ready for a 9.30 open time trial with scheduled shots going at 10:00 am. With racing getting underway right on schedule everyone was watching the weather man over their shoulder as it obvious something was coming through. But with everyone doing a great job of cooperatiing things got done with only a few rain drops scaring everyone. Jr. Dragsters saw Logan Anger beat up on older brother Maverick Anger for the win, and Gord Harling backing up his win a few weeks ago with another victory in Nostalgia. Semi Pro would see another two time winner already this season as Russ Fraser took the win. Super Pro would see Russ Adams and Ashley Ogilvie go to the staring line with Ashley cutting the better light and picking up her first win of the summer. All in All a great weekend of racing and thanks to everyone who showed up.

Même si le printemps n'avait pas été idéal jusque-là, nous étions largement en avance sur le calendrier de l'année précédente. Pour ce sixième week-end d'ouverture consécutif, nous espérions une météo « spectaculaire ». Vendredi soir, le temps fut effectivement spectaculaire : une violente tempête de vent a tout emporté. Mais samedi matin, le ciel était dégagé, le calme et le soleil brillaient tandis que l'équipe remettait la piste en place pour le départ à 13 h. C'était un vrai plaisir de voir autant de voitures venues du Nord, notamment celles des Harling, Allard, Roch Beaudion, Cody Levasseur et Brandon Loach, tous venus de loin, du fond de la vallée. Samedi matin, le ciel était dégagé et le vent était tombé, l'impatience était palpable. Et nous avons démarré à l'heure. Alors que les dernières manches approchaient, la première à s'achever fut la catégorie BDL Equipment Nostalgia, remportée par Miles Smith, pilote de deuxième génération, qui a ainsi accédé au podium. Ensuite, ce fut au tour des Semi Pro, où Stephen Ballantyne a renoué avec la victoire. Les Juniors étaient bien représentés, Bryson Loach menant sa toute nouvelle voiture à la victoire pour la première fois à Luskville Dragway. Le clou du spectacle, celui qui a tenu tout le monde en haleine, était la finale Super Pro, où Brandon Barker et Randy Bellefeuille se sont affrontés pour la victoire. Randy avait connu un week-end d'ouverture catastrophique, où tout avait mal tourné, mais il a pris sa revanche en prenant un bon départface à Brandon Barker et en franchissant la ligne d'arrivée en vainqueur.Randy est l'un des pilotes les plus appréciés du circuit, et cette victoire a été très bien accueillie.Le dimanche matin n'a pas débuté sous un ciel aussi clément que samedi, mais le météorologue nous a donné l'opportunité de disputer les courses avant l'arrivée des averses. Les pilotes étaient sur le pont dès l'aube pour préparer les essais libres à 9h30, les prises de vue étant prévues à 10h00. Les courses ont commencé comme prévu, chacun gardant un œil sur la météo, car il était évident qu'une averse se préparait. Grâce à l'excellente coopération de tous, les choses se sont déroulées sans encombre, seules quelques gouttes de pluie venant perturber la course. En Jr. Dragsters, Logan Anger a dominé son frère aîné Maverick Anger pour remporter la victoire, tandis que Gord Harling a confirmé son succès de quelques semaines en s'imposant à nouveau en Nostalgia. En Semi Pro, Russ Fraser, déjà double vainqueur cette saison, a décroché la victoire. En Super Pro, Russ Adams et Ashley Ogilvie se sont affrontés sur la ligne de départ, Ashley prenant un meilleur départ et remportant ainsi sa première victoire de l'été. En résumé, un excellent week-end de courses et merci à tous les participants.
