PIT BITS APRIL 27/26 *With the drivers meeting, and the first test and tune behind us, its now time to "fine tune" everything for the big opening weekend coming up the long weekend in May. This season is going to be a little different I believe with all of the excitement surrounding the Nostalgia Class we believe we could see a resurgence of old school drag racing, "now if we could just get standard transmission back" LOL.  *AND THE BAND PLAYED ON. Yes it will be live music again this year at the Bracket Bonanza for the 45th time. Highway Sunrise one of our more popular bands that have played in the past will be back in 2026 with one or two new members. This is a band that has traditionally got the party going and we expect that same thing the happen this season. We will also be presented the cash payouts at the band stand this season like years past, which is usually good for some fun and some laughs. We are also pleased to announce that the very popular Steak Dinners will once again be served to each racer and pit crew member. It makes me feel good that something we started 45 years ago is still going on at Luskville Dragway but is something that other tracks have copied in an effort to add what we added in 1981. *Our first test and tune and cruise night are now in the books and everyone agrees  that
first one of the season was a huge success. The weather was cool but the action
was hot as a large number of street cars showed up to help us get year 45 going.
And with every spring comes one or two surprises and this year was no different
as Cheryl and Russ Fraser showed up to test their new AMX, yes you heard me
right AMX (with ford power). Russ who has been racing his 1965 Mustang at the
track for longer than I can remember showed up with a bright red 1969 American
Motors AMX. Russ got it down the track before some issues forced the couple to
head home to sort some things out with the hopes of getting back out next
weekend. What other surprises lay ahead as we move into another racing season at
Luskville Dragway. |

FOSSE APRIL 27/26 *Après la réunion des pilotes et les premiers essais, il est temps de peaufiner les derniers détails pour le grand week-end d'ouverture qui aura lieu en mai. Cette saison s'annonce un peu différente, je pense. Avec l'engouement suscité par la catégorie Nostalgie, on pourrait assister à un retour en force des courses de dragsters à l'ancienne. « Si seulement on pouvait retrouver les boîtes de vitesses manuelles ! » (Rires) *Et le groupe a continué à jouer ! Oui, il y aura de la musique en direct cette année encore au Bracket Bonanza pour la 45e fois. Highway Sunrise, l'un de nos groupes les plus populaires, sera de retour en 2026 avec un ou deux nouveaux membres. Ce groupe a toujours su mettre l'ambiance et nous espérons qu'il en sera de même cette saison. Comme les années précédentes, les prix en argent seront remis au kiosque à musique, ce qui est généralement l'occasion de rires et de bonne humeur. Nous sommes également ravis d'annoncer que les très appréciés dîners de steak seront à nouveau servis à chaque pilote et membre de son équipe. C'est formidable de voir que ce que nous avons lancé il y a 45 ans perdure à Luskville Dragway, et que d'autres circuits s'en inspirent pour proposer ce que nous avions instauré en 1981. *Notre première soirée d'essais et de réglages, suivie d'une session de roulage, est désormais terminée et tout le monde s'accorde à
dire que cette première de la saison a été un franc succès. Malgré une météo
fraîche, l'ambiance était électrique avec la présence de nombreuses voitures de
rue venues nous aider à lancer cette 45e saison. Et comme chaque printemps, il y
a toujours une ou deux surprises, et cette année n'a pas fait exception. Cheryl
et Russ Fraser sont venus tester leur nouvelle AMX, oui, vous avez bien entendu,
une AMX (avec un moteur Ford). Russ, qui pilote sa Mustang de 1965 sur cette
piste depuis des lustres, est arrivé avec une AMX American Motors rouge vif de
1969. Il a réussi à faire quelques tours de piste avant que des problèmes
techniques n'obligent le couple à rentrer chez eux pour régler certains détails,
dans l'espoir de revenir le week-end prochain. Quelles autres surprises nous
réserve l'avenir pour cette nouvelle saison de courses à Luskville Dragway ? |

CARTAGE LTD. BACKS NOSTALGIA SERIES FOR 2026: APRIL 27/26 We talk about  the
drag racing family all the time, and we do so because the Luskville Dragway
family is special and it shows just why all the time. This past weekends drivers
meeting was just another example of that, with the pre season raising of he
largest sum of money for the Jrs. in the history of the Jr. Dragster Class. And
then when we announced that we where looking for a sponsor for the Nostalgia
Class Points Chase, it was only 10 minutes later that i was approached to have a
conversation, and 10 minutes later we had a deal. SO BIG SHOUT OUT to R SUGRUE
CARTAGE LTD. who have signed on to give the Nostalgia boys and girls their first
ever cash points fund payout. So not only will we crown a Nostalgia Champion,
but we will present the top four drivers with a cash payout. The Sugrue family
is pretty famous in the area for racing, and most of you know second generation
Rob Sugrue who competes in semi pro each and every weekend at the track. But A
lot of you don't know that Robs Dad was a very good stock car racer at Capital
City Speedway in the Legend's Class. R. Sugrue Trucking is a name that has been
around the Ottawa area for decades and has a established history of perfection
when it comes to this business. |

CARTAGE LTD. SOUTIENT LA SÉRIE NOSTALGIA POUR 2026 : APRIL 27/26 On parle souvent de la famille du drag racing, car la famille du Luskville Dragway est unique et le prouve constamment. La réunio n
des pilotes du week-end dernier en est un nouvel exemple, avec la levée de fonds
de pré-saison qui a permis de récolter la plus grosse somme jamais enregistrée
pour les Juniors. Lorsque nous avons annoncé que nous recherchions un sponsor
pour le championnat de points de la catégorie Nostalgia, dix minutes plus tard,
on me contactait pour en discuter, et dix minutes plus tard, l'accord était
conclu. Un grand merci à R. SUGRUE CARTAGE LTD. qui s'est engagé à offrir aux
pilotes de la catégorie Nostalgia leur tout premier versement de primes. Ainsi,
non seulement nous couronnerons un champion de la catégorie Nostalgia, mais nous
remettrons également une prime aux quatre meilleurs pilotes. La famille Sugrue
est bien connue dans la région pour ses performances en course automobile, et la
plupart d'entre vous connaissent Rob Sugrue, de la deuxième génération, qui
participe à des compétitions semi-professionnelles chaque week-end. Mais
saviez-vous que le père de Rob était un excellent pilote de stock-car à Capital
City Speedway, dans la catégorie Légende ? L'entreprise R. Sugrue Trucking est
une institution dans la région d'Ottawa depuis des décennies et jouit d'une

PIT BITS APRIL 20/26 *When you say "Bracket Bonanza" it has always has a special "ring" to it and this year it will have an even more meaningful ring to it literally. In conjunction with the 75th Anniversary of NHRA the Super Pro Winne  r,
The Semi Pro Winner and the Sled and Bike winner on Saturday will receive a
beautiful commemorative ring. Sunday will see the Super and the Semi Pro winners
also receive a NHRA 75th Anniversary Ring. These are really a keepsake and
probably wont happen again in my life time anyway, so winning one will have
tremendous prestige to it. This is also alongside the fact that the Wally's for
this race are very special as well and are not like the normal Wally's that are
handed out usually. Yes the Bonanza has made history over the years, originally
back in is beginnings it was the first BIG DOLLAR Bracket Race in this country,
and over the years it has kept that reputation going. Yes there have been others
that have claimed to be bigger but NO ONE ever has out done the prize money that
the Bonanza is known for.*Well this years drivers meeting is in the books and it was a very well attended event for sure, at the Stable Restaurant in Metcalfe, ("support those that support us"). First off we want to THANK all of those that helped make the Jr. Dragster Fund Raiser a HUGE and i mean huge. We also have many of the season long Acker Quick Draw Awards Covered, and for that we are for ever grateful.  To say the Luskville Dragway family loves
their Jrs. would be a LARGE understatement for sure. The winner of the Draw was
Dean Cook who is new to Luskville as a racer and will have his top sportsman car
out for the National Open in June. Dean runs out of the BW Race Cars shop and he
and Brian where both in attendance, ironically Dean's son plays hockey against
our grandson Cole all through their AAA years in Eastern Ontario. We where also
extremely pleased at those that had travelled from up North, Montreal and the
Belleville, Kingston Areas. Derek pretty much handled the information about the
upcoming season which was met with applause. One of the exciting things to also
come out of the meeting was the fact that the Nostalgia guys would have a points
chase and will have an end of season payout. We will have a lot to say about
this next week right on here. Then it was time for the Bracket Life Brand
Practice Tree Competition where Darryl Jensen would hold up the Semi Pro
contingent with his big win over Nic Poirier of Ogilvie Performance. So with the
meeting behind us we now look forward to this weekend and the opening of the
track for 2025 weather permitting. |

FOSSE APRIL 20/26 Quand on parle de « Bracket Bonanza », ça sonne toujours comme un événement exceptionnel, et cette année, ce sera encore plus significatif.
À l'occasion du 75e anniversaire de la NHRA, les vainqueurs des catégories Super
Pro, Semi Pro et Motoneige recevront samedi une magnifique bague commémorative.
Dimanche, les vainqueurs des catégories Super et Semi Pro recevront également
une bague commémorative du 75e anniversaire de la NHRA. Ce sont de véritables
objets de collection, et il est peu probable que l'occasion se représente de mon
vivant. En gagner une sera donc un honneur immense. De plus, les trophées Wally
de cette course sont tout à fait spéciaux et différents des trophées habituels.
Le Bonanza a marqué l'histoire au fil des ans. À ses débuts, c'était la première
course de bracket à gros prix du pays, et elle a su préserver cette réputation.
D'autres ont prétendu être plus importantes, certes, mais aucune n'a jamais
égalé les gains du Bonanza.*L'assemblée des pilotes de cette année est terminée et a connu un franc succès au restaurant Stable de Metcalfe (« soutenez ceux qui nous soutiennent »). Nous tenons tout d'abord à remercier chaleureusement tous ceux qui ont contribué à faire de la collecte de fonds pour les Jr. Dragsters un immense succès. Nous avons également remis de nombreux prix pour le tirage au sort Acker Quick Draw de la saison, et nous vous en sommes extrêmement reconnaissants. Dire que la famille du Luskville Dragway adore ses Jr. Dragsters sera  it
un euphémisme. Le gagnant du tirage au sort était Dean Cook, un nouveau venu à
Luskville en tant que pilote, qui participera au National Open en juin avec sa
voiture de course de haut niveau. Dean court pour l'atelier BW Race Cars et
était présent avec Brian. Ironie du sort, le fils de Dean a joué au hockey
contre notre petit-fils Cole durant leurs années AAA dans l'est de l'Ontario.
Nous étions également ravis de la présence de ceux qui avaient fait le
déplacement depuis le nord, Montréal et les régions de Belleville et Kingston.
Derek a présenté les informations concernant la saison à venir, ce qui a été
accueilli par des applaudissements. L'un des points forts de cette réunion a été
l'annonce d'une course aux points pour les pilotes de la catégorie Nostalgie,
avec une prime de fin de saison. Nous reviendrons plus en détail sur ce sujet la
semaine prochaine. Ensuite, place à la compétition de départs d'entraînement
Bracket Life Brand, où Darryl Jensen a dominé la catégorie Semi-Pro en
s'imposant face à Nic Poirier d'Ogilvie Performance. La réunion étant terminée,
nous attendons avec impatience le week-end prochain et l'ouverture de la piste
pour la saison 2025, si la météo le permet. |

PIT BITS APRIL 13/26 *ATTENTION IN THE PITS, yes its here the start of the season starts this Saturday at the Stable Restaurant with the annual drivers meeting, and tree party. This is a sure sign that the sound of race cars heading down the track is only one week away if the weather man cooperates. Drivers meeting gets underway at 2 pm but come early and meet up with old friends and have some great food. Jamie and Sherri Clarmo have also invited anyone who wants to bring their motorhome and camp over in the parking lot they are more than welcome to do so. *We are also thrilled to announce that the Wayne Young Memorial Car Show & Drag will once agian take place at Luskville Dragway as part of the Larry Way Derand Motorsports Car show Series. There is also a number of other events afilliated with this show that some might be interested in and we have listed them all below.

C'est le signe certain que le vrombissement des voitures de course sur la piste n'est plus qu'à une semaine, si la météo est clémente. La réunion des pilotes commence à 14 h, mais arrivez tôt pour retrouver vos amis et partager un bon repas. J&S COLLISION, CONTINUES SUPPORT OF LUSKVILLE DRAGWAY IN
2026: MAR. 30/26 To say that Jamie & Shelia Tupper have been leaders in our sport for a long time now, would be putting it mildly. From their very first big  dollar
bracket win in Elliot Lake, which seems like a long time ago (1999), they
have lead the way in local drag racing. Whether it be with there success in
getting too the winners circle, their success of making more friends than
Santa Clause or their desire to help as many racers as they can along the
way. And in the case of Luskville Dragway and the Super Tour, Jamie and Shelia have
always gone above and beyond to help out in one way or another, including by
bringing new drivers to the table as well as advertising dollars. The
success that we talk about at the race tracks that they travel too, is just
an extension of their success in business as their J&S Collision would be
the envy of many in that type of work. Located in Tilsonburg, Ontario it
makes for many long drives to get too races in the US, Eastern and Northern
Ontario, but
that has never stopped this team from going and taking part in
what they love too do. Tupper who is a former Napa Tour Super Pro Champion, Driver of the Year recipient, and $50,000. Winner in Michigan, has been a leader for the expansion and improvement of drag racing with Luskville Dragway and the Tours. You would be very hard pressed to find anyone who is more popular at any race track than this couple, and you would be hard pressed to find anyone who is more supportive than Jamie and Shelia. Because of this very successful and busy business Jamie does not get out as much as he would like but always manages to make the Bracket Bonanza at Luskville Dragway. Their support is continues in 2026 and for that we can't thank them enough. |

RECONTINUE SON SOUTIEN AU CIRCUIT DE DRAGWAY DE LUSKVILLE EN 2026 : 30 MARS 2026 Dire que Jamie
et Shelia Tupper sont des figures emblématiques de notre sport depuis longtemps
serait un euphémisme. Depuis leur toute première victoire importante à Elliot
Lake (en 1999), qui semble déjà loin, ils ont ouvert la voie aux courses de
dragsters locales. Que ce soit par leurs succès sur le podium, leur capacité à
se faire plus d'amis que le Père Noël ou leur désir d'aider un maximum de
pilotes, leur engagement est indéniable. Concernant le circuit de dragster de
Luskville et le Super Tour, Jamie et Shelia se sont toujours investis pleinement,
notamment en attirant de nouveaux pilotes et en apportant un soutien
publicitaire. Leur succès sur les circuits où ils se produisent est le reflet de
leur réussite entrepreneuriale : leur entreprise, J&S Collision, ferait l'envie
de beaucoup dans ce secteur. Située à Tilsonburg, en Ontario, l'équipe doit
parcourir de longs trajets pour se rendre aux courses aux États-Unis, dans l'est
et le nord de l'On tario,
mais cela ne l'a jamais empêchée de participer à sa passion.Tupper, ancien champion du Napa Tour Super Pro, lauréat du titre de Pilote de l'année et vainqueur d'une course de 50 000 $ au Michigan, a joué un rôle déterminant dans l'expansion et l'amélioration des courses d'accélération avec le Luskville Dragway et les circuits. Il serait difficile de trouver un couple plus populaire sur les circuits que Jamie et Shelia, et encore moins un couple plus présent et encourageant. En raison de son entreprise florissante, Jamie ne peut pas se déplacer autant qu'il le souhaiterait, mais il trouve toujours le moyen d'assister au Bracket Bonanza au Luskville Dragway. Leur soutien se poursuit en 2026 et nous leur en sommes extrêmement reconnaissants. |

PIT BITS APRIL 6/26 *I know we have mentioned it many times before but its worth doing so again, the Northern Airport Races that we have been doing since  1995
has created many new racers, and many good racers at the same time. This week we
update one of those that has done a lot of winning on a sled, but will switch to
a door car for 2026, as his son takes over the driving of the sled. Justin
Prevost was one of those that burst onto the scene when we stared doing Elliot
Lake, and it didn't take him long to get to the winners circle. Since those
early days he has spend most of his time racing sleds, with the odd stint in
buddy Hub Frappier's door car (winning Chapleau last season). This season will
see Justin who along with his company Prevost Performance will switch from the
Sled to full time door car in his own ride. Would also point out that even
though he wont be racing in the sled class Prevost Performance will hold the
title rights to the Sled/Bike Series this season. Justin who picked up a 701/2
Camaro is in the process of redoing the car from top to bottom with plans for
early spring débuted to sort it out. *One of the things that has got me pretty excited in the drag racing world of late is the incredible i  interest
in the Nostalgia Drag Racing that is taking place across the country and in
particular at Luskville Dragway. It reminds me very much of the first days of
super gas which I competed in where any of us that was a drag racer back then
wanted to run Super Gas. Over the last few years at Luskville Dragway we have
seen some real growth in this class, while other classes have stumbled Nostalgia
has shown some nice growth and some real excitement surrounding the class, and
this off season has been incredible. So this week we announce that addition of
another new Nostalgia car that will join the ranks of those that we have already
wrote about. Vince Rutter of Manotick who is no stranger to running his street
car at Luskville Dragway will joiningg the Nostalgia Ranks with this 1963 Dodge
Cornett, going to be a fun year in the Nostalgia Class. |

FOSSE APRIL 6/26 **Ce qui m'enthousiasme particulièrement ces derniers temps dans le monde du drag racing, c'est l'incroyable engouement pour les courses de dragsters de collection (Nostalgia Drag Racing) à travers le pays, et notamment à Luskville Dragway. Cela me rappelle beaucoup les débuts du Super Gas, une catégorie dans laquelle j'ai moi-même concouru : à l'époque, tous les pilotes de dragsters rêvaient de rouler en Super Gas. Ces dernières années, à Luskville Dragway, nous avons constaté une réelle croissance de cette catégorie. Alors que d'autres catégories ont connu des difficultés, le Nostalgia a affiché une belle progression et un véritable engouement. Cette intersaison a été incroyable. Cette semaine, nous sommes donc ravis d'annoncer l'arrivée d'une nouvelle voiture de collection qui rejoindra les rangs de celles dont nous avons déjà parlé. Vince Rutter, de Manotick, habitué des courses de rue à Luskville Dragway, intégrera la catégorie Nostalgia avec sa Dodge Cornett de 1963. L'année s'annonce passionnante pour cette catégorie ! |

MISTER TRANSMISSION NORTH BAY & SUDBURY RETURNS AS MAJOR ADVERTISER
FOR 2026: APRIL 6/26 We can not  emphasize enough how humbled we are with the support we get from our
advertisers and how lucky we are to have them. This weeks announcement is a
perfect example of just that as Bill Harling the owner of Mister
Transmission locations in Sudbury and North Bay has resigned for 2026. Bill and his Father Gord (and now Daughter Sarah) have been a big part of
Luskville Dragway and the Napa Money Tour for many years now and have been
some of the biggest supporters of what we do and for that we will be forever
grateful. 2026 will see Bill and the North gang not only take all their parking spots/memberships, as  well as their big grand stand billboard. The Harling Family is a perfect example of
the racing family, with 3 generations of them racing together at the same
time. Much like my family who is also a 3 generational drag racing family,
the Harling's spend their weekends together racing many weekends at
Luskville Dragway or where ever we are putting on a race. Bill owns two
shops these days which keeps him very busy with the original in Sudbury as
well as the one in North Bay. We will have more to tell about this
involvement once the season gets under way but we can only say we are proud
and fortunate to have Bill Harling, his Family and his business's involved
with Luskville Dragway. I would also like to add that Bill and his Mister
Transmission Business's are very much involved with the Chapleau Airport Gold
Rush Nationals race, showing once again his solid support for the drag racing we

6 AVRIL 2026 Nous sommes extrêmement reconnaissants du soutien que nous apportent nos annonceurs et nous n ous
sentons privilégiés de les compter parmi nous. L’annonce de cette semaine en est
un parfait exemple : Bill Harling, propriétaire des succursales Mister
Transmission de Sudbury et North Bay, a renouvelé son partenariat pour 2026.
Bill et son père Gord (et maintenant leur fille Sarah) sont des figures
emblématiques du Luskville Dragway et du Napa Money Tour depuis de nombreuses
années et comptent parmi nos plus grands soutiens. Nous leur en serons
éternellement reconnaissants.En 2026, Bill et son équipe de North Bay conserveront non seulement leurs emplacements de stationnement et leurs abonnements  ,
mais aussi leur grand panneau publicitaire dans les tribunes. La famille Harling
est un parfait exemple de famille passionnée de course automobile, avec trois
générations qui concourent ensemble. Tout comme ma famille, elle aussi
passionnée de courses d'accélération depuis trois générations, les Harling
passent leurs week-ends ensemble à courir, souvent à la piste de Luskville ou
ailleurs où nous organisons des courses. Bill possède aujourd'hui deux ateliers,
ce qui l'occupe beaucoup : l'ancien à Sudbury et celui de North Bay. Nous aurons
plus à vous dire sur cet engagement une fois la saison commencée, mais nous
pouvons d'ores et déjà dire que nous sommes fiers et chanceux de compter Bill
Harling, sa famille et son entreprise parmi nos partenaires à Luskville.
J'aimerais également ajouter que Bill et son entreprise Mister Transmission sont
très impliqués dans la course Gold Rush Nationals de l'aéroport de Chapleau,
démontrant une fois de plus son soutien indéfectible aux courses d'accélération
