ACKER BROS RACING, QUICK DRAW JR. DRAGSTER AWARDS SET FOR 2024:
JAN 22/24 We have often talked
about the generosity of the drivers and teams who race at Luskville Dragway,
whether it be the advertising that they purchase or the programs they support,
they are the best. For two years now we have saw the Jr. Dragster buy backs
taken care of by someone every weekend, which meant the kids never had to pay
buy backs, they were always automatically moved forward. And for three years
now, the Acker Bros Quick Draw award was just another added bonus for the up and
coming racers. With the passing of the architect of the Quick Draw program,
Brian Ackers from cancer in the Winter of 23, we made a promise that we would do
our best to keep it going. And thanks to much generosity we did that last summer
and have a great start to the 2024 season. This award gives the Jr.
Dragster winner with the best reaction time in a winning first round a special
"Quick Draw" award, and $50.00. The program has obviously been met with much
enthusiasm by the Jr. Dragster participants, and the wealth has been spread
around pretty good. Over the last few years most everyone of the kids has managed to win one of
the awards and the cash that went with it. We have been very fortunate to
have many people step up last season after Brains death and once again showed
the generous support that the racing
community at Luskville Dragway has always shown. I have said it many
times, and i will say it again Luskville Dragway is very, very lucky to have
the kind of race teams we do, and the incredible support that many show. We
hope that the generosity will continue as we work very hard to keep Brains name
alive at Luskville Dragway, so if you or your company would like to be part of
helping this program keep going please let me know. It
will be a good year for the Jrs. as the growth of the class continues to
show strength as we move forward. T

JULY 11/22 Any time someone new comes to

makes you feel like your on top of the mountain. Well that's exactly what
happened when Robbie Martell from St. Albans, Vermont did when he came to
our track on the July 1st Super Tour event. We met Robbie Martell and Julie
MacDonald for the first time ever at our I-car Tour Race and there is no
question we all hit it off very well and it was so nice to see them come
through the gates at Luskville for the Second Tour Race. Martell who was
second in the Super Pro Super Tour Points had a pretty good weekend going a
number of rounds and keeping himself well up in the points heading into the
Bracket Bonanza. Super Nice People who fit in with the Luskville Family we
look forward to many visits this season.
ANTRIM TRUCK

best known names in the Ottawa Valley having been around for many many
years. Tommy who is a well known drag racer purchased the business a few
years back and has brought it much more notoriety than it has ever had, with
Facebook promotions, car shows and much much more. Tom who has been a drag
racer at Luskville Dragway all of his life, originally hales from Shawville
Quebec which is about 30 minutes from the small NHRA Drag Strip. Mr. Orr is
another one of those "liked by all" guys at the track and too have Tommy

AYLMER AUTO PERFORMANCE RETURNS AS TITLE RIGHTS HOLDER TO SEMI PRO
IN 2024: FEB. 19/24
Rai
Pillwien
the owner of Aylmer Auto Performance and Transmission has been super busy
the past few years, and has had to take some time off drag racing his own
car. But Rai has not taken anytime off supporting Luskville Dragway and the
Semi Pro Class at the track. So with that being said we are pleased to
announce that Rai
will be not only returning as a major advertiser again in 2024, but he along
with his Son Dan who does the driving, plan on returning to some racing in the 2024 season
as well. Yes for the 6th year in a row Aylmer Performance will be the title
rights holder to the Semi Pro (footbrake) class at the track. So as we head
into our fourth
season on the new track, and many more improvements, we do it with great
support for the semi pro cars again in 2024 thanks to Rai. Rai as many of
you know bought the big farm just down the road from the track, and that has
kept him very busy, and then to add to that he built a brand new shop at the
farm as well, which could become the main building for his business one day.
Aylmer Auto Performance does much more than performance work as its main
stay is regular automotive repair, specializing in Transmissions and
Performance. If you have ever had the pleasure of seeing any of Rai's immaculate Chevy Race Cars
over the years you will understand. When we say this business
man is methodical with everything he touches, including his race cars or
your ride. Since becoming involved with Luskville Dragway what seems like
many years ago now, Aylmer Performance Automotive has gotten more involved
with Performance Parts and supplies as well, and today can get you just
about anything you need from a Helmet, too a safety Jacket to a set of
tires. Rai who along with his Son Dan, a Jr. Dragster graduate plan very
much on being back out in 2024 as much as time will allow. We can not thank Aylmer Auto Performance enough for their support
and urge all to support those that support our sport and our track. A number of
semi pro racers pretty much call Aylmer Auto Performance home, as Rai does so
much to assist all involved with our track.

BUSTERS BAR & GRILL CONTINUES AS OFFICIAL
SPORTS BAR OF LUSKVILLE DRAGWAY: MAR 4/24
One
of the things you will here said over and over again, is racers from
Luskville Dragway take their racing very seriously, but they also take their
having fun just as serious once the racing is over. And part of that fun
includes the great times we have had at Busters Bar & Grill, located at
their new location off the Hazeldean Rd at Eagleson. Whether its back to the
bar parties, drivers meetings, after hockey get together's or the annual Winter Practice Tree
competition, Steve and Louise the owners of Busters go out of their way to
make sure everyone has a great time. A sports bar that has supported
Luskville Dragway for 12 years now, and also supported ADM Motorsports when
we ran the stock car track in Ottawa, Busters is a great supporter of
Motorsports too say the least. Next up is the Annual Drivers Meeting and membership
drive (April 6th) and event that we believe will be the biggest ever this year,
with all the excitement surrounding the up coming season, be there for sure.
Yes Busters is the place to be if you are part of the good times that
Luskville Dragway try's hard to bring about, and they play a big part in
that. Busters Bar and Grill besides holding title rights as the official
sports bar, also holds rights to the Busters Big Dog Shoot Out August 1st. 2024, and the Busters Bar and Grill Cruise Night
June 1-2024. Remember to support those that support us, and if your looking for a great
place for great atmosphere, great food and cold beer Busters is the place for
you. Just a reminder that Busters has live music every Friday night and
sometimes on Saturday nights. Don't forget to mark Drivers meeting, Practice
Tree Competition April 6th. |
BASSI AUTOMATICS SHIFTS INTO HIGH GEAR FOR 2025 AT LUSKVILLE
DRAGWAY: FEB 5/24
Juliano Bassi has been around the Ottawa car
scene for a very long time, and has been building performance racing
transmission for many in the area for just as long. Juliano and Bassi Automatics
will also be around Luskville Dragway for 2025 and hopefully a long time to come. Working for B&N
Transmission
in the early days, Juliano went off on his own very early and quickly
created a large following, including many drag racers from the Ottawa and
surrounding area. Juliano is a car guy and don't forget that, with a
matching numbers SS Chevelle show car, and a full tilt outlaw street Camaro,
make know bones about it, this is a guy is in too cars, and performance. The
list of customers who many of us know who have relied on Bassi Automatics
for the tranny needs reads like a list of winners, Paolo Giust, Mike Gunn,
Pierre Luc Mallet, George Christakis, and Chris Sheridan just to name a few. Juliano called me in 2018 and said he wanted to be
involved with Luskville Dragway and at the time with the Outlaw Street Car
scene, which he is very much involved with. There is no way to explain how good it
feels when a business man calls and says I want to put something back into the
sport where I do business from. It is what we have always talked about, it make the
wheel go round, and it stops the wheels from falling off our local drag strip.
Just having someone point that out, makes one realize this the reason we do
what we do, and this is the reason we keep working to make Luskville Dragway
Better. This will mark the 7th year in a row that Juliano and Bassi Automatics have
been involved with Luskville Dragway and we are very pleased that he is. The
Bassi Automatics Sign will once again be front and center on the pit side
grand stand, that makes it part of many pictures that are taken. I would
also like to congratulate Juliano and the success he has had with his own
Outlaw Street Camaro, making some great runs near the end of 2024, look for
bigger things in 2025. |
BW RACE CARS IS WELDED TO LUSKVILLE DRAGWAY WITH SUPPORT IN 2025:
FEB 10/25
Brian White Race C ars
signed on with Luskville Dragway in 2014 and we are pleased and proud that
he will continue that support into the 2025 season and for many years to
come we hope. This NHRA Best Engineered Award winning chassis builder is
only moments away from Ottawa, and works out of a brand new shop to serve
all your needs. A race car driver at heart gives Brian the knowledge that
only comes from actually driving a fast drag car, and Brian has driven them
all from quick door slammers in the early years to rear engine dragsters
today. With the new wave of wants for the dragster guys being a front
suspension Brian was the first around to begin the transition for many
locals and with great results. One only has to look at people like Derek Malcolm (Super Pro
Track Champion) Kyle Jessup (Super Pro Napa Tour Champ) Landyn Urslak (2023
Super Pro Track Champ) and others, Mike
Chenier, Troy Davis, Mike Ogilvie and more to see this. These
days Brian has designed his very own front suspension set up which he uses
on his own car and will soon be seen on many others.
The shop located in eastern Ontario is currently doing front suspension on Pam
Rennie's dragster and right after that Lewis Gagne's rear engine dragster. The
55 Chevy that was built for drag racer Simon Tessier of Montreal has had
everyone talking for a while now, and débuted excitement is large. Brian who is a drag racer at heart brings too the table much what builders
like Richard Jones and F.J Smith do,
"They
are drag racers" which makes all the difference in the world. Brian does not
just curtail his work to drag cars as many street rodder's and pro street
drivers have visited the Shop to have work done. White has also made a name
for himself for setting up cars , just ask ADM Motorsports, Brock Godmaire, and Bill Harling just
to mention a few. One
of the great things about this shop is the owner is not afraid to come to
the track and work with the client in getting everything right on the car,
something that goes along way in making this shop unique. Once again we
remind people to support those that support your track, that's what keeps things
going and growing. |
BRACKET LIFE BRAND JUST IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS: NOV 25/04
I
think
it is safe to say that Bracketlife Brands has had an impact on the local
drag racing crowd, in fact most of the drag racing crowd in Ontario and
Quebec and elsewhere. You would find it very hard to go to one of the local
races with out seeing MANY racers, crew members and spectators wearing some
of their very popular gear. Brandon Barker and Rachel Ogilvie Barker have
done a masterful job of marketing their product and it tells by the number
of shirts, hats and hoodies you see at the race track. Luskville Dragway is
a prime example wear on any given race day you see many if not most of the
race teams with someone wearing some of the Bracket Life Brand Stuff. And
this is just another example of how this current major advertiser takes
advantage of getting their name out their and in a very smart fashion. The
team has also added a Bracket Life Talk Show to their program and it too has
become a very popular off season deal. The show features Brandon and
Southern Ontario Drag Racer elite Andrew Strick. The team have garnered a
large following with their bye weekly program, talking everything Canadian
Bracket Racing. Bracket Life Brands will also hold their third annual off
season Practice Tree Competition this February which by all accounts is
going to be BIG. |
CLARMO AUTO REPAIR CONTINUES STRONG
SUPPORT OF LUSKVILLE DRAGWAY:
When it comes to drag
racers who own their own business's and who support our track Luskville Dragway, CLARMO AUT O
REPAIR is right up there with the best of them. Located in
Metcalfe, Ontario this is a full service auto repair shop that can fix
anything. Owners Jamie and Sherri Clarmo have been running their own
business for years now and have been racing and supporting Luskville Dragway
for many years as well. I think many will agree with me, there is something
about a person who drives a race car and works on race cars, working on your
personal vehicle, the methodical work that is performed is like no other.
Jamie and his staff are some of those and your satisfaction is guaranteed
when you visit this shop . So the long cold months are still ahead of us, so
make sure your car or truck is ready for the long winter months, visit
Clarmo Auto Repair you won’t be disappointed. This family owned business
is very much a family race team as well, as Jamie, Sherri and son Steven are
at the race track many a time together, racing and joining in with the rest
of the teams that are there. The Clarmo Family is also very much part of all
the extra activities that are part of the race track, such as pot lucks,
back to the bars, tree parties, and on an on, but you get the idea, they are
a big part of Luskville Dragway.

CARL SOUCY'S ABATTAGE & EMONDAGE ADDS TO
SPEEDY AUTO WEEKEND: JUNE 3/24 Carl
Soucy
came on the scene at Luskville Dragway over 7 years ago, coming from the
Dirt Track Stock Car world everyone was well aware that Carl New Racing. It
didn't take long for that to show through loud and clear after he became
very, very competitive in an older style dragster. It was said many
times
over the PA System when Carl would come to the line, that don't take this
guy for granted, and if he ever gets a state of the art race car look out.
Well he did buy a top name modern day Diamond fully suspended dragster, and
it was not long before Carl was in the Money rounds most of the time. The
Soucy Family have pretty much made Luskville Home and it includes Carl's
Daughter Annabelle who is racing in the Jr. Dragster Class in a brand new
beautiful card. It should be also
pointed out that when it came time for the rebuilt of Luskville Dragway Carl
was instrumental in the work that went on with the tearing out of the old
track, the grading and prepping of the new track. So yes Carl has done his
part in helping Luskville Dragway and this year that support continues as
Soucy's company will present the Speedy Auto Service SFI Weekend June 15/16
2024. |
DAVE RENNIE'S AUTOCARE "LITTLE BRACKET" WEEKEND TO
RETURN IN 2025:
Its
been an number of years now since Dave and Pam Rennie jumped back into our
sport and rejoined the Luskville Dragway Family. And as they did when they
came back, they continue to have an impact on our sport and on our track,
and all in a positive way. The return of the White Vega with black and red
stripes has been great for the track, great for the fans and great for the
sport locally. 2021 saw the Rennie's add a rear engine
dragster to the team and it didn't take long for wife Pam to catch on and become very,
very competitive. Dave and Pam have not only supported Luskville Dragway
but have travelled to Naipreville every weekend when Luskville will was not
racing. The RENNIE'S have also showed their support from a advertising point
of view, as right from the beginning they have put cash into the track, by
purchasing signage, event support at Luskville Dragway as well as being part
of the big improvements that have taken place the last four years. Yes when
the support for the rebuild took place Pam and Dave where right there, and
when the plan for the new safety barrier took place they where right there
again. And as we head into our fifth year on
the all new race track Dave and Pam have once again showed their solid
support and will allow for another weekend of BIG DOLLAR racing again
in 25, (the
Little Bracket). This year the plans have changed tough, as it has been
decided to move the weekend away from the weekend prior to the Bonanza to
see if we can attract more cars, with some time between the big races. July
is a busy month when you consider the Tour race at Luskville at the
beginning and the end of the month, as well as the Big Open event at
Napierville. Right now the dates are booked for July 11-12-13 with big prize
money and Wally's for all winners. The Autocare center which is located at 801 Richmond Road is a hub of
activity anytime you go to the shop, and attracts customers from all over West
Ottawa and West Quebec. Every unit that leaves the shop is inspected from top to
bottom no matter what its in for and customers can rest assured that nothing is
ever overlooked.

D&D PERFORMANCE LEAD THE WAY WITH PERFORMANCE RACE
ENGINES: OCT 28/24
We start our winter sponsor spotlights
this week with D&D Performance, built by Rolly Doucet
and Ed Decooman
who
where two of a kind when it came to supporting Luskville Dragway, and
building winning race engine combinations in Eastern Canada. We have
documented many times the accomplishments of these two gentleman and their
very well known D&D Performance in Chesterville Ontario. When Eddy passed
away a few years back the drag racing community was stunned, but Rolly kept
his nose to the grindstone and with the help of his protégées Todd McIntyre
the business didn't skip a beat. But now we flash forward to
current time and the passing of the second half of the D&D Team when Rolly
Doucet succumbed to cancer at the end of 2023. So yes the face of D&D has
changed greatly but one thing we can assure you is that it has not changed,
is the building of winning racing engines and performance motors which
Todd has made sure of.
Rolly and Eddy both had a plan and Todd was a big part of that as he is now
part ow ner of the business along with Eddy's wife Debbie. Todd who was
trained by Rolly and has for many years been instrumental in putting out
race engines will continue to just that. In fact he has a long list of
customers that are a who's who of the drag racing world locally. So unlike many previous years, when I would start this write up with
not many things have changed, this time "Many Things" have changed,
but one thing has not, D&D Performance is still building great race engines
and is still the back bone of the racing industry in our area, and still
supporting Luskville Dragway. Something else that will never change from
our point of view, is we will never forget the history of these two Canadian
Drag Racing Hall of Fame inductee's Rolly Doucet and Eddy DeCooman, we will
not let that happen.
D&D Performance and Luskville Dragway have drawn parallel lines in longevity, growth, as well as marketing partnerships since the
track was build in 1969. Original owners Rolly
.Doucette and Ed Decooman
where some of the first to come through the gates way back when Luskville
Dragway opened in 1969. So these are two gentleman not only watched
drag racing and Luskville Dragway go through many changes over the years but
played a big part in all of those changes, and for that we will always be
grateful. D&D Performance started out in small Sunoco gas station in
Gatineau, Quebec before moving to their current home in Chesterville Ontario. One only needs to look around the list of winners to
quickly see that this is a shop that produces top quality winning
combinations, jjust ask drivers like Jamie Tupper, Derek Malcolm,(7
Time Super Pro track Champion) The Ogilvie's including 2020 Super Pro Track
Champ Ashley, Troy Davis (2021 Track Champ), Mike
Chenier this years triple crown winner, Darren Frasso, Al Ray, Dale Gauthier,
Dave & Pam Rennie and the list goes on and on. Now don't
think for a moment that they only build drag racing engines as many a street
car performers come out of this shop as well, as do boat engines and truck
and tractor pulling bullets. D&D
Performance as you can tell has always been a big part of Luskville Dragway and
that partnership continues into 2024 with their advertising support solidly
behind Luskville Dragway. |
DSE CONTINUES TO BE PART OF THE LUSKVILLE
DRAGWAY ADVERTISING FAMILY: APR 22/24
Dave Strick Enterprises has been a well known name in the
world of Canadian Drag Racing, and especially in Southern Ontario where this
performance oriented shop is located. Dave was also a very well known and
successful drag racer who for many years competed at local race tracks as well
as venturing out to NHRA National events at other tracks. Fact is I had the
pleasure of competing in Super Gas Eliminator back in the day with Dave Stirk,
at tracks like Sanair and Cayuga. These Days the driving duties are left to
second generation Andrew Stirk who has picked up right where his Dad left off
with the winning ways. Andrew is considered one of the best racers when it comes
to the Super Pro and Semi Pro racing with his two car team. DSE has had many a
race car over the days from Camaro's, to the famous Cavalier Super Gas Car, to
the Corvette Roadster and Mustang that Andrew competes in today. Andrew made his
first trip to Luskville Dragway in 2022 for Drag Week and the Bracket Bonanza
and quite frankly like the place very much, so made a return trip for the Fall
Super Tour Race. At that time he made it clear he would like to get more
involved, and would like to take a personal parking spot along with some
advertising dollars to help the track, that support will continue in 2024. This is very exciting for Luskville
Dragway and very much welcomed, as will the Stirk Family this season, it also
makes for some great bench racing
of old times as Dave Stirk is always along side his son when he travels.
DSE Automotive Ltd is an independently owned &
operated automotive repair facility founded in 1979 by owner David Stirk. DSE
Automotive is located at 473034 County Road 11 in Orangeville and provides
complete automotive service and scheduled maintenance to passenger cars & light
trucks. I know that everyone along with myself welcomes the Stirk
Family to the Luskville Dragway Family. |
FIREBALL AUTOMATICS SHIFTS INTO HIGH GEAR WITH LUSKVILLE DRAGWAY: MAR 11/24
As we head into our 55th year of Luskville Dragway's
existence (1969-2024)
we
are pleased to announce that one of the original drivers, advertisers,
supporters of Luskville Dragway is back in 2024. Doug (Fireball) Miller was a
drag racer when Luskville Dragway opened, he was a NHRA World Record holder,
part owner in the first super stock car to go into the 8 second zone, which
he built the transmission to do so as well. Yes Doug, who is a member of the
Canadian Drag Racing Hall of Fame, has pretty much done it
all when it comes to drag racing. Another thing Doug (Fireball) Miller has always done is
support Luskville Dragway and many of the drivers who compete there over
those years as well. A builder who is known through out North America who
today spends most of his car time show casing one of his many nostalgia
super cars at indoor shows and outside venues. A Chrysler man from day one
Doug who had many drag racing partners over the years has never left those Dodge roots, many would say he is Canada's version of Don Garlits
and I would certainly agree with that. The shop which is located not far south of Ottawa in William sburg,
Ontario has continually produced some of the best performance transmissions
in the world of drag racing. The list of competitors that use Fireball
products is as long as your arm or longer and includes Championship winning
Cars and many, many more. One of the things that stands out to me as we head
into our 51st. year is how important people like Doug Miller at Fireball
Automatics and others like him played such an important role in drag racing in
our area, and the success of Luskville Dragway from its beginnings to this

FAB 2L SIGNS BACK ON
FOR THIS SEASON:
Once again
the drag racing community at Luskville Dragway indicates they like what is
going on, and once again one of those racers puts his companies hard earned
money up to back that support. Larry Lepine who is no stranger to the
winners circle on his very fast motorcycle, who opened his new company up
during the covid pandemic has stepped to the plate to help us promote Bikes
and Sleds. Larry who is a second generation drag racer, started running his
bike on cruise nights a few years back, and quickly moved to racing
competitively in the Semi Pro Class at the track where the sleds and bikes
compete on race days. And it didn't take long before he was more than
competitive, and was long after that, that he made his way to the winners
circle. This would also include winners circles at other tracks whether it
be in Semi Pro or full tilt bike events. The pinnacle of those wins would
have to be his Super Tour Big Dollar win at Luskville Dragway. After
opening his business in 2020 he made it very clear that he would be
supporting Luskville Dragway with some advertising money as soon as he got
things
up and running. FAB 2L is a metal
fabrication shop that can build anything you want out of Steel, Aluminum,
Stainless or Titanium. They can build everything from book shelves, to
furniture to full stair cases like the one shown in the picture. They can
also do repairs to any type of metal products, from Kitchen accessories to
racing transmissions. Larry and crew can also fabricate that unusual piece
of metal that you may need for your motorcycle or race car. So once
again the racers who race at Luskville Dragway come through loud and clear
with the words we support the track that supports us. So now we need all to
support those that support our track.

SOMETHING SWEET FOR
LUSKVILLE DRAGWAY, AS HONEYWELL WORKS SAYS WE ARE STICKING WITH LD IN 25:
We
are fully aware that we are very fortunate to have the advertisers support
that we have, and don't think for a moment that we are not aware of it and
appreciate it greatly. Every year when one season finishes the next one
begins, and some of that work first to be done is resigning all of those
that have helped make what has happened at Luskville Dragway to continue to
happen. Paulo Giust always makes that much easier as he is usually one of
the first to call me and offer his continued financial support and any other
support needed. He made it very clear as he has many, many times, that his
support of Luskville Dragway is unwavering, and that if we don't support our
local track we wont have one like many other areas in North America. That
kind of support is and those kind of words is something you never forget and
something you are forever grateful for. Yes we have met some incredible
people and made some incredible friends along this road of running Luskville
Dragway, Paolo is very much one of them. So we are extremely proud and
pleased to announce that Paulo & Shannon are back with their support
in 2025, and the Honeywell Works Wally Weekend will go on August
23-24. Paolo has been a drag
racer for a very long time now, and got his start right at Luskville
Dragway, and over the years has owned and driven almost every type of car
imaginable started with a very fast street Camaro, a very fast dragster, a
funny car and of course many years behind the wheel of a Outlaw vs. The
World small tire pro mod. Paolo has also established himself as a great crew
chief and when he's not wheeling his own car he is sought after by many to
help them with theirs. With that in mind we moved the Honeywell Works Wally
"King of the Track" weekend one weekend later as the Pro Mods are running in
Napierville, on August 15-16.
All of This is being made possible with the
incredible support of Paolo, Shannon and Honeywell Works.

HINTON AUTOMOTIVE/WEST CARLETON AUTOMOTIVE
CONTINUE STRONG SUPPORT OF LUSKVILLE DRAGWAY: APRIL 1/24
We are extremely plea sed
to announce that the title right holder of the Big Bill Board at Luskville
Dragway will be back with the NHRA Track in 2024 and beyond. Vern & Cathy
Hinton the owner of both of these companies which operate out of a very new and
very big shop on 126 Walgreen Road in Stittsville, Ontario have been big
supporters of Motorsports in our area for a long time. Vern who has owned
Hinton Automotive for many years, and a few years back purchased the West Carleton Automotive
Machine Shop and Engine building business from Larry Aslagsen who has been a
fixture in the drag racing world for decades in this area. This company is
as close as you can get too a big box automotive and performance shop, with
the ability to supply you with what ever you need from general maintenance
to full tilt performance. 2024 will mark 43 years that West Carleton Automotive has been supporting Luskville
Dragway and the Drag Racers of this area. The shop which is state of the art
includes a Dyno to test the race engines long before they see the race
track. And whether it is a big block Dodge, a small block Chevy or any other
type West Carleton not only has the ability but also has the history and the
record to build what ever you need. Just ask Drivers like Ralph Coe who relies on Dodge
Power from Hinton/West Carleton to make his Polara a very strong contender. Yes
in the drag racing community this shop can handle what ever make or brand
you have when it comes to making horse power, work done by seasoned veterans
of the machine shop and engine building business's. Now after that you would
think that only drag motors come out of this shop and that is very far from
the truth as Stock Car Racing, High Performance Boat Engines, Truck and
Tractor Pulling and just plane old street car performance engines are a
regular occurrence out of this shop.
The Hinton Automotive side of the building is where the general automotive
repair goes on, but besides this work there is a great deal of performance
minded stuff as well. Many of the street scene and hot rods locally depend on
Vern and the Team for any type of work they require and not just from the engine
point of view which they obviously have all wrapped up with the West Carleton
Division. But this shop can also do Chassis work, performance installation, I have even been in when
fiberglass work
was being done on a hood scoop for a race car, so yes when we say anything you
need, you can get when it comes to Automotive, general or performance. We would
like too thank Vern and Cathy Hinton for their continue support of Luskville
Dragway and their support of the Motorsports World in our area. |
*And last
this
week we have some exciting news about the "Gold Rush Nationals Drag Race
returning to Chapleau Ontario the weekend of August 14-15-16-2025. After a 5
year absence and the demise of all other Northern Airport Drag Races that we
where doing, Chapleau has been revived and revived in a big way with
longevity in mind. The Town of Chapleau has committed to a long time
endeavor with the quarantined installation of a concrete starting line at
the airport and talks are underway to also have it so they own their own
track equiptment.

J&S COLLISION, CONTINUES SUPPORT OF LUSKVILLE DRAGWAY IN
2024: APRIL 22/24
To
say that Jamie & Shelia Tupper have been leaders in our sport for a long
time now, would be putting it mildly. From their very first big dollar
bracket win in Elliot Lake, which seems like a long time ago (1999), they have lead
the way in local drag racing. Whether it be with there success in getting
too the winners circle, their success of making more friends than Santa
Clause or their desire to help as many racers as they can along the way. And
in the case of Luskville Dragway and the Napa Tour, Jamie and Shelia have
always gone above and beyond to help out in one way or another, including by
bringing new drivers to the table as well as advertising dollars. The
success that we talk about at the race tracks that they travel too, is just
an extension of their success in business as their J&S Collision would be
the envy of many in that type of work. Located in Tilsonburg, Ontario it
makes for many long drives to get too races in the US, Eastern and Northern
Ontario, but
that has never stopped this team from going and taking part in
what they love too do.
Tupper who is a former Napa Tour Super Pro Champion, Driver of the Year
recipient, and $50,000. Winner in Michigan, has been a leader for the expansion and improvement of drag racing
with Luskville Dragway and the Tours. You would be very hard pressed to find
anyone who is more popular at any race track than this couple, and you would be
hard pressed to find anyone who is more supportive than Jamie and Shelia.
Because of this very successful and busy business Jamie does not get out as
much as he would like but always manages to make the Bracket Bonanza at
Luskville Dragway. Their support is continues in 2024 and for that we cant
thank them enough. |
KD TRANSMISSION SHIFTS INTO HIGH GEAR WITH
LUSKVILLE DRAGWAY: MAR 3/25 We are extremely
pleased to welcome K-D Transmission of Belleville, Ontario back in 2025 to Luskville Dra gway
marketing family, and bigger than ever for his 5TH season with us.
This second generation business is owned by John Golka a second generation drag
racer, following in his fathers Don Golka's footsteps. Johnny is also following
in his fathers footsteps business wise, has he took over the daily operations of
the family Business located at 68 Dundas St. West in Belleville, Ontario. The
shop which has been in the Golka Family since 1965 has been around longer than
Luskville Dragway, but the family made Luskville Dragway part of their stops
when it opened in 1969. The younger Golka who started working at the shop in
2001, took over the day to day operations in 2014 and has not looked back since.
K-D Transmissions obviously specialize in Transmissions and are very involved
with many of the local drag racers from the Belleville area. These however like
many business's these days have become very diversified with regular automotive
repair and detailing. This keeps the staff of 6 pretty busy and the shop has
been going strong.
The Golka's have a very diversified history in the drag
racing world as well, and were involved with one of Canada's premier drag racers
in the early years Dave Benn and his "Gentle Ben Ford Mustang Factory Race car.
Golka's could be seen at many tracks with Benn back
in
the days, including Quinte Dragway (Mohawk) near their home town of Belleville
as well as Luskville Dragway, Cayuga and others.
So it was only natural that Father Don would take up the sport and then Johnny
himself would move behind the wheel of a drag car. Being a transmission specialist makes it just make sense that many
drag racers (and stock car guys) in the Belleville/Ottawa area would rely on K-D
Transmissions for the racing needs. The list of who uses their trans is very
large and contains many winning names of races and championships. Drivers like
Butch Douglas (Super Tour Champion) Brandon Barker (Many Time Big Dollar Winner)
Russ Adams,
and others which include Dale Gauthier, and the Al Ray Family. K-D does not just
do drag race transmissions as a number of stock car racers also rely on this
shop on Dundas Street in Belleville. Once again we remind everyone to support
those that support drag racing in our area. K-D Transmission became a new
advertiser in 2021, and will continue that support in 2024 and will once
again allow Luskville Dragway to crown a dragster champ and a door car champ
with both winning top title prize money. It should be
pointed out that Johnny Golka is one of the biggest givers in Drag Racing, as
even with all he does and is noted here, he is always adding things on during the
year like Jr. Dragsters Buy Backs, Top Ups and such.

CSN HUNT CLUB JOINS LUSKVILLE DRAGWAY FOR
2ND YEAR IN A ROW.
We have been
very fortunate over the years to sign some new blood each and every year.
But as the times change it is harder to do just that so when you do get a
new marketing partner you feel pretty good about it. And a lot of times they
come with the blessing of a racer at the track that has a connection. In the
case of CSN Collision Howard Foley was the connection, and what started out
as Howard inviting some quests from the shop to come out and watch some drag
races turned into a signage advertiser with us for the second year in a row.
We would also like to thank Scott Dance the owner for making this happen,
see you at the races. CSN Hunt Club proudly serves the Ottawa area
providing the highest quality collision repair services. They pride them
selves on customer service and promise to treat each vehicle as if it were
our own. Their trained technicians will repair your vehicle properly to
like-new condition so that you can get back on the road safely.

INTERSTATE BATTERIES CHARGES INTO 2025 WITH LUSKVILLE DRAGWAY: MAR
31/25
I nterstate
Batteries is no stranger to Motorsports Marketing, and Interstate Batteries
is no stranger to marketing with Luskville Dragway, and we will continue the second decade of doing just that in
2025. Having Interstate Batteries on board once again this year is not just
a good thing, its a great thing, as being involved with a company that is so
involved in Motorsports makes one feel pretty good that they have chosen
Luskville Dragway as well. Interstate Batteries is with out question the
best known name in the Battery business, and that has come about because of
their HUGE involvement with all aspects of Motorsports. With the assistance of James Locke, the man in charge in this
part of the country, Luskville Dragway has had the pleasure to have
Interstate involved for over 2 decades now. Interstate Batteries is a lot
more than just car batteries, which is what many of us tend to believe, they
carry and sell anything that has anything to do with batteries, and any type
of batteries. Once again in 2025 Interstate Batteries and Interstate Battery
Center will be one of a number of Bracket Bonanza Class Presenters. This
support is greatly appreciated and with out this type of support an event
with the stature of the Bracket Bonanza would not see the success it has and
does. Support those that Support us, buy an Interstate Battery the next time
you require a battery. |
LENTECH AUTOMATICS CONTINUES TO RIDE HIGH WITH LUSKVILLE DRAGWAY:
APRIL 15/24
Lentech
Automatics is no stranger to Luskville Dragway, and their scoreboard signage
has been riding high for many years now. Chris Nugteren the owner of this
well know performance transmission shop is also no stranger to the NHRA
Facility in Luskville Quebec, and we will have the pleasure of seeing him
even more this upcoming season. As we head into another year of
marketing partnership with Luskville Dragway. Chris would like everyone to
know that even though the shop is famous for its Ford Performance Trans,
they work on, and build any make or brand with the same qualifications and
results.
Lentech takes pride in providing you with the most innovative AOD/4R70
transmission technology available. Every product is fully tested and backed
by an unprecedented warranty. They are also committed to continual
development of new products and refinement of existing products. Their
technical staff is trained to recommend only components appropriate to your
equipment combination. They specialize in the high
performance modification
of Ford automatic overdrive transmissions for street or strip. But not just
for Fords. They also supply adapter solutions that allow fitment of
your LENTECH modified Ford Overdrive to a GM or Chrysler, with equally good
results! You won’t find a more complete selection of AOD/4R70 products
anywhere. So if you need a high performance edge, you need a LENTECH…
We welcome Lentech back to Luskville Dragway and hope everyone will come out
and join in on their cruise nights. Lentech will return as the official title rights holder to the
Left lane
score board at Luskville Dragway as well a signage space they have had for
many years now. |

extravaganza, for Luskville Dragway. A race that got its
start back in 1981, originally as a one day event paying $1000. is now today
the premier big dollar bracket race in this country. That type of
money in the early eighties attracted racers from far and near, and so began
the history of Canada's oldest and richest drag race. As we head into the

Rennie Autocare Twin BONANZA WARM UP $10,000. July 27-28 and will then entice

THE STABLE ADVERTISING PROGRAM "STABLE" WITH LUSKVILLE DRAGWAY IN 24: MAY/20/24
Drag Racers h ave
long been known for being some of the most ingenious people on this planet,
and people who seem to make things work, and work real well. I think that
adage is more than appropriate for this story as the move that Jamie Clarmo
did a couple of years ago, has turned out very, very well. Jamie and Sherri as many of
you know are drag racers, and the owners of Clarmo Auto Repair a company
that has supported Luskville Dragway for a long time. The Shop that they own
sits in a complex (plaza) that they also own, and had a restaurant that was
leased to another party. When covid hit, the leasee hit the road leaving
Jamie with an empty restaurant. Now it doesn't take a brain surgeon to
figure out there was not a line up of potential new renters, with the Covid
Pandemic and all. So the decision to take over the operations of the
facility themselves seemed like the only think they could do. Well as it
turns out, it was a great decision as the Restaurant has become a "Stable"
place to eat in the Metcalfe area, and has attracted many a drag racer over
the last year as well. In his own words Jamie is very, very pleased with the
outcome of "The Stable" Restaurant and is looking forward to the
future. So we are very pleased to announce that The Stable has signed on as
an marketing partner with Luskville Dragway for 2024 and beyond. One of the
things we already have planned is a drag race, hot rod car show and party on
August 11th in the parking lot of the restaurant, and we hope EVERYONE will
come out and support those that support us. If you follow Facebook at all
you will see that Jamie has done a masterful job of promoting the new
venture on Facebook, and no doubt has played a big part in the restaurant
having a "Stable" clientele. I should also point out that the name for the
shop came from their daughter who as many of you know is very big in horses. |

JR. DRAGSTER CHAMPIONSHIP TO
GET THE BACKING OF SPEEDY AUTO SERVICE IN 2024:
APRIL 15/24
Mike Chenier the owner of Speedy Auto Service has established
himself as one of the top Super Pro Racers at
Luskville Dragway and the
number of tours he competes in. And Mike has
also been a mover and a shaker on many other aspects of what goes on at
Luskville Dragway and that continues this season.
Since coming on the scene,
The
Chenier race team and family have become a Huge part of the every
weekend racing event
at Luskville Dragway, as this is a team that more often than
not has a large cheering section at the track. Luskville Dragway is very fortunate to have Mike Chenier as a
member of the racing family, and also fortunate to have Speedy Auto Service
as major advertising supporter of Luskville
Dragway once again in 2024. When the wheels started spinning in the fall of
2020 to
rebuild the track, Mike Chenier was a major player in making that happen,
for that we will forever be grateful, and as Mike has said we "aint" done
yet. And done yet he wasn't as he worked diligently to make the new safety
wall come together, yes Mike has played a big part in the track. Speedy will once again carry the title rights to
the Jr. Dragster class, a class that Mike has done so much for over the years.
Everything from sponsoring the entire class to paying for all their buy backs
and more. Speedy Auto Service is also the backer of a weekend in June
(14,15,16) Spring Spectacular. Speedy will also carry the Super Tour Title
Rights at Luskville Dragway for the Fall Bracket Nationals August 30,31 Sept
1.
What is called Speedy
Auto Service started out with a different name many years ago.
Speedy Muffler King opened its' first store in 1956 and was
one of the first muffler replacement specialists in North America.
Speedy Muffler King understood the importance of building strong customer
relationships and was one of the first automotive repair service chains to
establish standards of performance to assure its' valued customers
consistently
high levels of service at each and every one of its' locations
across Canada. Over the years Speedy Muffler King expanded its' products and services
and in 1993 changed its' operating name to Speedy Auto Service In December
2007, Speedy Corporation acquired Speedy Auto Service. The Speedy Auto Service Gatineau auto repair shop specializes in offering
the very best while-you-wait service for all makes and models of cars, light
trucks and SUV's. Although muffler replacement is still a primary service,
Speedy also specializes in brakes, shock absorbers, struts and front end
repairs as well as the sale of tires, road safety inspections and vehicle
maintenance services that include oil, lube and filter replacement. Our Gatineau auto repair shop which is located on 372, boul. Maloney
west, takes pride in being able to help keep the citizens of Gatineau
safely on the road, because at Speedy you're a somebody. |

RACING TRANSMISSIONS & THERMO LOGISTICS BACK IN 2024: APRIL 1/24
Brian Swayne has been around drag racing all of his life, in fact he and his
brother Ross were some of the original Northern Racers who would venture out
of North Bay and head to
Luskville Dragway.
Brian and his Brother where also very quick to support the airport races when we
started them back in 1995, in Earlton, Ontario. Brian who now does it with
racing partner Tom Cline, lost his racing brother a number of years back but
did not loose is love of drag racing.
Brain not only races but builds Racing Transmissions for many other drag
racers as well including 2023 Super Tour, Super Pro Champion Brock Godmaire. Brian moved from North Bay to the Ottawa area, but missed
his home town so a year or so back moved back to his Northern Roots, but
still calls Luskville Dragway his home track and races there most weekends
with Tom. Tom owns and operates his own business as well, Thermo Logistics,
so both are kept pretty busy during the week but love to get away on the
weekends and go racing. |

OGILVIE AUTO & FLEET CONTINUES A TRADITION, MAJOR SUPPORT FOR
LUSKVILLE DRAGWAY: APRIL 7 /25
You have he ard me many times
talk about Luskville Dragway and its family like atmosphere, there is no
question about what makes that happen at the small NHRA drag strip located
just outside Ottawa, Ontario. It is my personal opinion that the large group
of racing families that call Luskville Dragway their summer cottage is very
much the reason. We have celebrated Canada Day together, Thanksgiving
together and many, many birthdays together. One such family is the Mike and Vicky Ogilvie Family from
Jasper, Ontario who along with daughters Rachel and Ashley play a BIG part
in that atmosphere we are so proud of. And the family aspect continues with
Mike and Vicky as they own and operate Ogilvie Auto and Fleet as a family as
well. The business which on the quietest of days is much louder that any of
its counter parts in the big city keeps Mike and Vicky running off their
feet to keep things under control. And that has been even more busy the last
year or so as they have upgraded and expanded the facility in a very large
way. In the racing season, Long days of
running the business
are usually followed well into the evening getting FOUR Super Pro Dragsters
ready for competition at Luskville Dragway or some other drag strip in the
area, as well as many times helping others or customers get their stuff
ready as well. This is a family that from the very beginning have done as
much as they possibly can to help support and promote their home track. Ogilvie Auto and Fleet is a
Napa Auto Pro Service Centre which means they offer a wide ran ge of vehicle
maintenance and car repair services that help prolong the life of any car.
Ogilvie Auto and Fleet can also take care of your heavy truck or motorhome
repairs as well, and does so for many of the racers from Luskville Dragway
who require this type of service. This is also a shop that is very well
diversified as they also offer everything from detailing, towing, car sales,
Black Mountain Jeeps and accessories, and many performance lines as well
including custom wheels. Mike and Vicki are also the official FTI
Transmission Specialists in Ontario and are the ones to reach out to if you
need anything Tranny related. The shop which employees a dozen full time
employees is well known for its methodical work ethic, which is shown and on
each and every job that comes through the doors. And those doors have
gotten larger in number as this past winter the Ogilvie's added a brand new
LARGE addition to Ogilvie Auto & Fleet to handle the ever increasing work
load on the big rig type stuff. For 2025 that incredible support will
continue as Mike and Vicki will do everything they can to make the Bracket
Bonanza Week of Drag Racing a huge success that it has become known for.
they will be the presenters the July 1st race
as well as signage space including the Tower Side Score Boards which will
also display the FTI Logo.

MALCOLM CARPENTRY OPENING WEEKEND MAY 16-17-18 WILL KICK OFF 2025 POINTS CHASE:
APRIL 14/25
With the drivers meeting now behind us, and everyone
ones thoughts now turning towards the racing season,
we hope that 2025 brings some good exciting times to the
racing community. So with that in mind we bring the first good announcemen t
of many to come, as we announce the kick off too the 2025 Track
Series May 16-17-18 2025. Malcolm Carpentry & Construction, like they have done
for the past number of years will once again hold the title rights and will make
it possible for us to have this big weekend. With increased purses
for both Super Pro and Semi Pro we are certainly hoping to attract a number of
out of town drivers to this event. Malcolm Carpentry and Construction is owned
and operated by 7 time Track Super Pro Champion Derek Malcolm. The privately
owned business operates in Ottawa and has grown to the point where the work
almost interrupts Derek's Racing program, however the love of drag racing
and the friendships from it, keeps him making adjustments to make things
work. Derek is not only busy with his company and his drag racing but he
along with his wife Tiziana are on the run with their two young girls all
the time, Basketball to Volleyball to Jr. Dragster racing and much more. As many know
besides racing at Luskville Dragway Derek also plays a key role in making the
track work, whether its the staring line or the timing system he is on top of it
all the time, many times interrupting his racing. Malcolm Carpentry specializes in renovations and
specialty construction of
recreation rooms, bathrooms and kitchens and comes with plenty of
recommendations. Most of the new work this company attracts comes from
recommendations made by people that he has done work for, and that tells you
one thing his work is superior.
Opening weekend will see the track open up on Friday for camping and

LUSKVILLE DRAGWAY IN 2024: JUNE 6/22
Canada's
leading Auto Parts Supply company Napa Auto Parts, will once again hold the
title rights too Luskville Dragway, Presenter Rights to the tracks Points
Series, And the Bracket Bonanza 2022 . This is as about as good as it gets
at this point in the season, with only a week or so behind a devastating
tornado hitting the track to being informed by Napa's Derek Lee that Napa is
back on board, is about as good as it gets. We are closing in on 15 years of
Napa involvement with us, and there are many people to thank for this. There
is no question that advertisers play a major role in Luskville Dragway's
success, its improvements, and its future, and one never knows heading into
the off season where we will stand come the next year. And with the world
being being upside down for the past 30 Months it is a renewal
that has everyone rejoicing for sure. For 2022 we will stand tall with the
Napa Logo on the tower lane scoreboard, as well as brand names on many of
our races and series. As we have for the past 14 years Napa
along with Luskville Dragway will present a customer appreciation day at the
track August 12-13-14. Tickets for free spectator admission will be made
available at all Napa Auto Parts Stores, Napa Auto Pro Service Centers and
Napa Auto Care shops. Customers will be allowed to bring a car load of
friends and family for a day at the races (or two days should they wish)
compliments of Napa Auto Parts. Again I want to thank all of those
involved and they know who they are, and especially Derek Lee of Napa Auto
Parts who has been a strong supporter. I can not tell you how big this is
for Luskville Dragway, with all the improvement's that have been done, and
more to come, it is
pretty clear that people are being told of what is going on at Luskville
Dragway THANK YOU.

W.O. STINSON & SON FUELS THE EXCITEMENT AROUND LUSKVILLE DRAGWAY
FOR 2024: APRIL 8/24
Luskville Dragway has been very fortunate over the
years to have the backing of some of this area's most successful compan ies
and one of those is W.O. Stinson & Sons. And once again in 2024 Stinson's
will be back with the local NHRA Drag Strip and bigger than ever. As we head
into 2024 there are a few changes at Stinsons, as John Armstrong who headed the marketing department for
Stinson, as well as much more, including total control of their Motorsports
involvement has made it official and has retired. John was instrumental for
all the good things that has happened with Luskville Dragway and many other
car related things in this area and will be missed greatly. The good news is
Derek May who has been groomed by John will be taking over and keeping
things moving forward each and every year as John did. So with that as a
back drop, we are extremely
excited to announce that this year Stinson's will once again be back and
back BIG TIME with Luskville Dragway. 2024 will mark the 8th year in a row
that W.O. Stinson & Son will hold the official Co- Title Rights to Canada's
Oldest, Richest, and Best Big Dollar Bracket Race, The Stinson & Son Bracket
Bonanza. This is a HUGE accomplishment for Luskville Dragway which over the
years has had a number of different title rights holders, like the very
first one, Reddi Chef Chicken, The Ottawa Sun and Napa. With the support of
Stinson's & Sons we hope to make this years Bonanza the BIGGEST EVER. Obviously race fuels and lubricants are not their mainstay, as
this company is the largest fuel supplier both for cars and trucks, homes and business's across our area. W.O Stinson's & Sons gas
stations can be seen almost everywhere and are one way that you the
motorsports personal can certainly support those that support us, just by
purchasing your gasoline needs at a Stinson Gas stations including the brand
new state of art station in Kemptville. W.O. Stinson's
also can take care of your personal home or business fuel needs whether it
be furnace oil or propane for your house or business. W.O. Stinson will
continue to be the official race fuel supplier for Luskville Dragway and
will continue to make deliveries each and every week directly too the track
to make it easier for racers to get their fuel. Along with VP Racing Fuel
race teams will also be able to purchase Kendall Race Oil and Brad Penn
performance products as well. W.O. Stinson is the official Sunoco Fuel Distributor for Eastern Ontario
and in being so can supply you with the best price and the best product. Please
support those that support us and purchase your fuel and lubricant needs
from Stinson's. I would also like to point out that Derek and the team
over at Stinson's has always made sure we had JP1 Traction compound even
when there was a so called shortage, we never went with out. This is a perfect time to point out once again the
importance of supporting those that support us, with out them we would not
survive. Again I remind EVERYONE, you can have your products delivered right
to the track, call Derek May at Stinson's. I would also remind everyone that
Stinson's deliver to the track every Friday during race season, and we will
have a mid week delivery the week of the Bonanza.

MISTER TRANSMISSION NORTH BAY & SUDBURY RETURNS AS MAJOR ADVERTISER
FOR 2024: FEB 12/24
We
can not emphasize enough how humbled we are with the support we get from our
advertisers and how lucky we are to have them. This weeks announcement is a
perfect example of just that as Bill Harling the owner of Mister
Transmission locations in Sudbury and North Bay has resigned for 2024 and as
added to his program. Bill and his Father Gord (and now Daughter Sarah) have been a big part of
Luskville Dragway and the Napa Money Tour for many years now and have been
some of the biggest supporters of what we do and for that we will be forever
grateful. 2024 will see Bill and the North gang not only take all their
parking spots and mroe, memberships, and their big grand stand bill board, but will
also see them be the $1000. sponsor for the Jr. Dragsters on the Sunday of
the Bracket Bonanza, PLUS. Bill and the Mister Transmission will also back
the $5000. to win Semi Pro Race on Saturday of the Bracket Bonanza, as well
as the Mister Transmission Foot Brake Challenge event Saturday evening the
Bonanza. This is huge for the kids and the Semi Pro cars as it will allow
the Bonanza to once again raise the level of prize money to unheard of
heights for these two class's.. The Harling Family is a perfect example of
the racing family, with 3 generations of them racing together at the same
time. Much like my family who is also a 3 generational drag racing family,
the Harling's spend their weekends together racing many weekends at
Luskville Dragway or other
venues we put on.

LUSKVILLE DRAGWAY: NOV 27/23
Precision Concrete Finishing
Renfrew, Ontario will continue its solid support of Luskville Dragway

driving of the family Undercover rear engine dragster, can be found at
Luskville or on the tour almost every weekend. The Younger Jessup plays a
leading role with the racing operation, much like he does in the family
business as well, as Kyle has been working with his father from the first
day he was old enough to do so. Kyle who also has done a lot of racing with
ADM Motorsports over the years, now wheels the Corvette Roadster for ADM at the track and
any where the tours go. The company which is based in Renfrew,

this is a perfect example of supporting those that support us. Precision

at Luskville Dragway, even when Bellai was doing the main
lanes Kyle was
always there to over see everything and do all he could. Precision then
installed the concrete center section and tree base that looks so good now
at the track. Precision has also done work for many other racers
including Derek Malcolm (Malcolm Carpentry) Troy Davis, Tom Orr, Brian White and Joe
Kavanagh to just name a few. Their work is much like the title of their
company, done with precision, perfection and pricing that is matched by
none. As many racers have proven this is a perfect example of a company that
you the racing community can support, whether it be a garage floor, basement
floor, walkway or complete house foundation Precision concrete is someone

LEWIS GAGNE TRUCKING KEEPS ON TRUCKING WITH LUSKVILLE DRAGWAY:
MAY 13/24 the Owner Lewis Gagne Trucking has been one of the
best things to happen to the sport of drag racing and in particular too Luskville Dragway.
Since Lewis Gagne became a
regular at the track and on the tours the fun level has risen GREATLY. A racer who made an impact from his
first appearance until this day, also makes a difference when it comes to
helping, and helping Luskville Dragway he does. Nick named “Screwy Lewy” for
a reason, you would have to look pretty far to find anyone that has more fun
than Lewis does, and he has everyone else having a good time as well. Lewis
Gagne Trucking is located in North Bay Ontario but Lewis will be first to
say Luskville Dragway is his home track. 2019 saw this team also start the
career of a second generation Gagne drag racer, as young son Logan began his
Jr. Drag Racing career, then in 2023 Logan's younger bros
started their drag racing careers also as all three of the boys compete in
the Speedy Auto Service Jr. Dragster Championship. Once again in 2024 we are
proud to announce we will once again be having the Lewis Gagne Racers
Appreciation weekend, which features bonus purses, a free racers breakfast on
Sunday Morning, and the induction ceremonies for the Wall of Fame. Lewis Gagne
Racers appreciation weekend will go into its sixth year in 2022 and will once
again take place the third weekend in Sept. which is the 14-15. This years inductee's
is the largest number we have ever had and its only May, Rolly Doucet the second
half of the original D&D Performance, Chris Collins, and Claire Thompson.
Although this day is a celebration there has with out question been too many
going on the Wall of Honor at the track. |

PARA PERFORMANCE THE OFFICIAL SPEED SHOP OF
LUSKVILLE DRAGWAY :
In a day and
age when speed shops are becoming a thing of the past it is nice to see that
one of them is not just surviving but it is getting bigger and better as the
years go by. Its a tuff deal for independent speed shops, as the times
changed and many people starting supporting on line shopping when it came to
high performance, which was a death nail for many, but not Para Performance
of Montreal which is still going strong. It was only a little while ago that
we talked about Ottawa's oldest running speed shop "Young's Speed Shop"
closing, so it is great to here that Para Performance is doing well. Doing
well enough, that the owners have once again thrown their support behind
Luskville Dragway and the 2023 racing season. Owned by François Paradis and the Anger
twins Fred and Frank, it is quick to
see that this is a racers speed shop to say the least. Para carries a complete
supply of high performance products, and if they don't have it on their shelves
they can get it the next day. They are also a supplier of Abruzzi Racing
Transmission and once again in a day and age when our Canadian Dollar is not
well, this is the place to shop. They can also get you what ever size and type
of drag slick you want and have been doing so for a number of this area's drag
racers. Many years ago there was many speed shops, many of them have bought
advertising at Luskville Dragway over those years, but today Para Performance is
one of the few that is around and is growing, so please remember to support
those that support us. You can find out more about Para Performance by clicking
on their Logo in our advertisers page.
